As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

After extracting it I began to look for a location for it and then decided to place it on the left side of the wallpaper.
The background was made from a stock photo with brushes of course, i wanted a winter like background and I found the perfect one right there.
The big tree trunk in front of Ichigo was taken from another stock photo and was blended more with the background and was also added a few brushes on top.
I also used the snow flakes brush on top of the scans and the tree trunk.
Also I added a gray overlay on top of the scan.
This wallpaper was especially made for a contest in Soul Society group.

Hi there, hmm.. well I like the wall but dunno...did you expand the scan? because they look weird. Thanks for the merry christmas, a little bit late but it´s ok. I think it can work without the text, that way can be used on desktop now that christmas already past ^^ anyway nice work, but you still can improve it ^^
Very nicely done, the brush repeats a lot, but it looks great, it would've look nice without the text, but it looks good as it is, nice work extracting the scan and the background, they both look great, and the blending, awesome, keep it up.
I have got to say Tyson-kun you've really outdone yourself this time, the wall is magnificent although a little behind the times it is nonetheless a work of art ^^ the setting and clothing/emotions on their faces are a really nice break from shinigami/quincy/battle clothing xD the snow effect is really cool too, only thing that's offputting is that tree O_O don't know if it's just me but it looks a little odd, well hope to see more of your works soon Tyson-kun
That's a good work of yours. Though, as it was already said by others, there are plenty of ways to improve it. I also think that the tree doesn't contrast well enough with the characters.. There is something wrong about that, but I'm not sure of it.

Great job tyson-sama... This is a really great wallpaper and the logo of merry christmas, I think it is very similar with kingdom hearts logo..But it is good.. Keep up the work

I like the snow. But I don't know about that thing that you put in the middle of the wall. I know what it is but it's taking all the attention. And you put the words on the tree so the first thing that we the people would see is the tree. But really you have a good technique laying out the snow, very nice.

Well, this little wallpaper took about 5 and a half hours to be made and I'm very happy with the results ^^
Ok well the scan was taken from here.
