After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Ephie is back 9 months after her last wall. >_< And her first 2008 wall features Gintoki from Gintama, whee~ Actually this all began when I returned to my hometown when my semester holiday began the last month. No PC then so I was just flipping through this Comic Weekly my little brother bought, and was staring at Fairy Tail characters conversing in chinese for some while and then flipping through the back pages and kinda saw this silly manga where they argue over something small. The dialogues were pretty interesting but the art wasn't really that pleasing.
But things didn't just end there. For some reason I just kinda got attracted to this manga called Gintama and I just couldn't resist myself from looking over and over again. So from then on, I started checking Gintama manga online and began downloading the anime last week. XD
Anyway, onto the wall itself, I was just wanting to make a wall featuring Gintama characters. It's really an interesting manga to begin with, and the adapted anime didn't lose Sorachi Hideaki's sparks. :) So this is the result. *drools* Gin-san enjoying his sake. This wall begin mainly only because I love how Gintoki posed in the scan. I re-vectored the scan because the original colour was much more paler and it looks like the colour's a little fading.
The background was the hardest part to do. Japanese art is really something and I just couldn't resist myself from using the sakura=spring concept. :) Oh, and the Japanese character on the left side, you have to start from the top right corner, going down right to the end of the lower left corner. Literally translates as "Spring, Sake, and it's Gin-san!"
Wow..this wallpaper is great.
i really like the texture you are using and the vector of the bg is very beautiful.
i was wondering, how did you do that?
everything seems great for me.
the combination colour is nice and i think it is a wonderful wall.
gonna add as fav. XD
keep up the good work

Cool! I like this wall. That Gintoki scan does look better with a bit more color. I also like the cherry blossoms and the kanji, as well as the texture. It's a nice combinations of elements. Good work!
Owww! Gintoki-san have a totally sexy pose in this image!*--* The wallpaper appear like a wish card! Totally cute work around it and it's perfect to gave all an happy new year wish!
Happy New Year to you too and glad to see this amazing work!
This needs more love D: and so does Gintama the manga. In the end it worked out great, but I'm not really all for the extra colour you added. Keep it up and wall more often.
Gin-sama in his natural habitat. XD Very nice how you captured the devil may care attitude of the dead pan expessioned Gin-sama. I was just recently introduced to Gintama, and I'm loving it already. Back to read/watch more~
I'm not quite sold on the color combination used on Gintoki, but the sakura and the kanji AND the texture combination look great together, and it fits the theme charmingly
