This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I was up to something stupid.. then this came out.. lol...
I wanted try to vector something really complicated, to see how hard it is.. it wasn't so much hard, because I adore the characters, so I enjoyed staring in them while vectoring *_*...
At first I wanted to do it the same as the original scan, (http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/201483/) but while vectoring I remade the parts that were covered by tree and candles, and later I just couldnt bring myself to put that tree and candles in front of them again... I'd feel sorry for the parts I remade! So the tree is in the background now ^_^. And candles are gone ^_^. (What were the candles doing on that tree anyway?!)
The easiest one to vector was Kurogane, and Sakura was the hardest... but I still love her... cute little thing... and I wanna have toy like the one she's holding! It so pretty..
I'm sorry if background isn't perfect, but I was already very tired while making it, wanted to finish as quick as I could, but that didn't really work like that, my computer is really slow with this things, it needs about 15 minutes just to open it in photoshop, and then half an hour to save, it ate all my nerves, lol...... when I just started coloring it, after 3 hours of coloring, computer blocked and wouldn't unblock again, so I had to turn it off and color again from beggining... (that was the sad part for me)
I needed 9 days to make it.. I think I'm gonna sleep trough a few months now...

Oh my gawd. Your vector is so detailed and clean. Nice job. The background with the sakura trees is nice but you could tone down the pink just a bit. Anyways, you get a +fav for the fabulous wall. XD

The cherry blossoms are too dense in some areas though.

i personally dislike the color pink but i forgive it since its beautiful sakura blossoms. i think the background and everything was done very nicely it looks so nice

Wow, the vector work is really good, the bg it´s a little bit simple, but the complicated of the vector creates a baleance, so I think this wall is absolutely beautiful ^^
