This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Hey...this actually isn't bad O.O I like the way you centered the char and made it so simple but yet dark at the same time. The text is okay...but I'd preferred having it grunged up =P Are those shards on the ground? I don't really see what's wrong with this wall besides the unknown items strewn across the floor o.o Anyway, great job~! =D
Wow I love the character *drools* This is a really great dark style wall. The texturing is awesome. My only complaint is I donâ??t get what those black pieces on the ground are? Anyway I think it looks amazing. Keep up the good work! +fav
Dang nice wall, i like the darkness going on here, and the pattern of the floor sort of gives off that eerie feel for some reason including the dark background and character, and i like the text, it goes good with the rest of the wall. nice job ^^
I'd rethink the 'cracks', cos they just look like random shapes drawn with the pen tool. I'd either integrate them more, or add blending to them, or texture - something to make them more integrated, iow.
The other thing is the shadowing. At the mo it just looks like you've done a simple shadow, using either drop shadow or duplicating, but really what it needs is for you to think about thwere the light sources are, and how they look and then draw out some stuff on the bg. The main reason for this is the way the shadow hits the back wall - it makes it seem like the chara is 2D.
Hope those give you some food for thought :). The wall has a nice, consistent atmosphere, I just think there are a couple of tweaks you could make :).
Nice dark wallpaper
has a eery scary dark feel to it... i really lik how you did your bg and the colours you chose suits really well with your whole concept of making your wallpaper dark

That's one slick looking character and wicked lotus like seat. i like how the cracks and holes in wall/floor, but the floor's texture seems a bit off. it looks like checkered carpet. i think smooth marble floor might work better.
Mm, the scratches and splatters on the wall behind her look awesome. The image quality is perfect, great clarity. The shards? on the floor look a little out of place, and perhaps a scratchier font to match the scratches on the wall could be an idea. Other then that, this is really cool. :)

I spent one week on this with many different variations.
The character is a female version of Eddie from Guilty Gear. I truly thank Nekkeau for letting me use his image.
I dedicate this wall to Nurika. She was my first mentor. And still is. She's awesome and I bow down to the sock puppet queen.
I thank jadesrabbit for the floor.
-lick- Love it.
