This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Okay, saw first saw this amazing image when I was playing this visual novel (kinda yuri'ish) on the PS2. Thought it would make a good wallie, but turned out it's only in 640x480 =/. I then thought man maybe if I could vector it that would be good... and so I went to pick up vectoring, and vectored this image.
Stats:
Layer: 90+ (most of them are colour layers)
Most tedious/annoying part to vector: Kimono butterfly outlines (grr...)
Hardest part to vector: The eye... yes the eye, took me 2 hours to get the first eye right...
My favourite part of the vector: The extended sleeves of the kimono...
My least favourite part of the vector: The hair.. also probably because it's the part I first coloured, so it's probably not too good...

Ah well this one's just plain nice. I can't really scrounge up much of anything to complain about! It most certainly is one of those walls that just looks good no matter what. Great job!
So, so pretty and charming... Great!
Tell me something, please... Is it your FIRST vector...? If yes, I'm astonished, you must be a genius. If not, I still give my amdired congratulations... The vector is awesome, perfect, I'd dare say. The character design is awesome, I agree, what a pretty girl! The composition is simple, yet very pleasant and functional, it results pretty well.
Then... I hope we can see more from you, since I loved your irst work at AP.~
Really nice and clean/clear wall. :)
You did a great job on the vector - keep it up!
Also, nice job on the glow as well. ^^ Kinda wish there was more variable types of those butterflies instead of the same one stamped over and over, but that's my only complaint. :)
I believe for your first time its really quite nice actually i think its cute i just got on AP and i downloaded it before i got your pm its really sweet the colours are used nicely but the most captivating thing are the butterflies i like them the way they are fluttering around her though you could have added alittle glitter or spiritual look to make it more captivating but who am i to say and for your first attmpt its great.
so i'll add it to my favs and i hope your next one will be even more great.

Very nice choices here. Simple can be just as stunning than complex.
Everything here put together nicely. Usually I frown on any text (even Kanji), but the text here doesn't get into the way. A real nice wallpaper for the monitor.

Great determination there, picking up vectoring just to turn art into wallpaper.
Hope to see more from you soon enough.
