This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It's me again, I was going thru galleries the other day a at school and saw one that just captured me. It was part of a scan from a manga chapter I guess and the little image at the top i loved so I redid it in a painted/vector wallie. :D I got the scan from animepaper.net.
I first did it all by vectoring it in Adobe Illustrator CS2 and then I repainted over it in Photoshop CS2. ^_^
It literally took me ALL DAY TO DO THIS! I just had a while to experiment and such with it, I was bored while watching my boyfriend play the new Devil May Cry 4 360xbox game, it's so cool!
I worked super hard on it, and had lots of advice from my triplet Rhonda! *huggles to her*, and some help from my twin sister Elizabeth aka Thingperson *huggles to her to*.
I love this, this is a beautiful portrayal of her. The silhouette, the profile, the wind, the everything, I adore it. I am glad to have seen it today, adding to favorites!
I got no idea what this picture is showing from the point of view from a person who do not know this anime. but i like the way this flow in the wallpaper. the fonts are very matching with the wallpaper but why the milky yellow?
I always love black and white wallies, really retro and deep down to the core. Black and white walls always stand out because unlike coloured walls that require heaps of colours to show out, black and white stand out just by being plain black and white! Very nicely done!
Wow.. this is a super powerful wall. You did a great job in the colors and contrast! :3 .. I can tell you spent a lot of time on it too.. keep up the good work! ^.^ .. it's a very unique piece. I love it o:
When I first looked at this, I had no idea what this wallpaper was showing, but for some odd reason it appealed to me. Is it a person? A panther in the grass? It looks like some sort of optical illusion which is interesting, yet it is plain enough so that it wont tire my eyes from staring at the screen too long. Nice choice. =]
