This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Hello... Have to type this all over again, due to the page messing up.. Anyway, this is the first wallpaper I have ever made. My girlfriend (BijinSakura) helped me with a lot of it. I told her I was going to mess around with something in PS to learn how to do it and she could help me do a wallpaper sometime in the near future, but instead I sat there and bugged her the whole entire time she was trying to play Kingdom Hearts. She messed with the render for me, turning it into black and white, I didn't really know how to use her actions on there. I did most of the brushwork for it, and the idea came from my head. I was using black and white for brushes, and she told me to add a little gray, and a little green (that's the original color I was going to use because of his eye color, but then we decided on blue because green is used a lot, so we changed the color of his eyes to blue too). She helped me with the text placement/color, and I thought of the Love like winter text because of how "cold" he is to Orihime in the anime. I messed with the hue/ saturation on the brushes to make it blue from green. I also copied the layers and made them vivid/ overlays to make it look "winter-ish" and cold.
I first saw the title and had to take a closer look, I love the color choice the blue really fits and I like how it sits against the black background, great job on the brush work it's very smooth and clean with a nice blend of detail and simplicity. B+ Great Job
Nice wallie, The vector work in the background is very nice withe the exception of the brushes you used above his shoulder (the round one just didn't fit IMO)
Also I would have liked to have seen the image of Ulquiorra used in more of a contrasting way with the coloring. Overall quite nice ;)
Not bad, the only thing is that it could use some cleaning around the edges, its a little pixelated/rough.
but otherwise its alright, nothing striking about it, ive seen this style a million times
Hmmm, not bad. The color choices are appropriate (though not incredibly unique), and you've certainly put some nice detail into the brushing jobs.
Some things to maybe consider:
The text is a bit small to read, even when you view the wall up close. If you think making it a bit larger won't make the proportions out of whack, it might be a good idea to do so.
The round circle-type brush to the upper-left doesn't seem to fit with the other brushes, and on first glance has the appearance of a butterfly wing, which might not be the effect that you intended to get across.
Some of the edges on the render are a bit fuzzy/pixelated, but you have to look closely to tell.
Other than that, you've done a pretty good job, especially if this is the first wall you've ever made.
Cool..Lovely wallpaper..I like and love the background brushes you have used..They make the wallpaper look very good...I love the blue and white designs in the background..And then the scan loooks very good..Amazing wallpaper :D ..Its a fave++ keep up the good work :D

It took over 30 layers not including duplicate layers.
The brushes were from Axeraider_70 http://axeraider70.deviantart.com/art/Ultimate-Brush-Pack-No-2-67359741

and Dreamon72 from deviantart.com
I got the render from my girlfriends render folder, but she got it from gamerenders.com recently.
I hope you like it and I hope that it gets accepted on here.. And that I wrote enough on the description =p
