This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I haven't seen any Bamboo Blade walls lately, or none to be exact, which can be a good thing I guess, since it gives me the opportunity to be the first. Actually, I uploaded a wall based on this series last week, but since I wasn't completely satisfied on the effects, I decided it needed a considerable amount of tweaking before I may consider re-submitting it.
This wall was made purely for the fun factor, and because I was sick and couldn't study properly. The wall is simplistic, and due to the lack of imagination, that's all I can offer. I vectored the whole wall based on a screen-cap which I found at the closing stages of episode 17. I know, it isn't much of a scene, and the perspective isn't something to be excited about, since it's very flat, but hey, there was something intriguing about it, maybe it could be the fact that it's super cute! For the finishing touches, I added some textures and played around with the blending mode to make it seem traditional-like.
I'm sorry, I wish I could have done a better job with this wall, but that's all I can generate at the moment, so, can I ask for your forgiveness? x]
Well, that's all from me, and I hope some of you may actually enjoy this wall.
Adorable!! Thank you for making the first Bamboo Blade wallpaper here [though a couple others have been made since]. I was afraid there weren't going to be any. :3 I love it! Your simple vector is really effective; it's all clean, clear, and composed well! I love Tama-chan's expression. XD So cute! I also like your use of texture and color. It really matches well. *faves* Nice work!!
