After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Hi.
This is the first wallpaper I've made. I was following a tutorial and this is the result. I don't think it turned out too bad.
Anyways, constructive critisism is always welcome, but don't be an ass and state the obvious like "You suck!". In any case, if you like it enjoy, shoo if you don't.
Its not too bad... id just make yoko a li lighter.. however... no offense it dosent go together too well.. im not feeling yoko w/ the bg too much
if i were you choose a different person
or get another background and have yoko in color
adn good job for your first time... you learn a lot over time just keep messing around with wat ever software you are usign and ull learn a lot

Well.. my original intention was to have a Samurai Champloo character there, but I couldn't find a good stock so I just went with what I had. And as I stated, I'm kinda new to this and I'm using Photoshop CS3, but how do I smooth Yoko out?
The skies were part of the tutorial and I tought it looked kinda empty without something else in the background.
It's good
i like the design to the right but it could even envelope that whole upper corner fading as it goes up/down to keep the lightness of the wall.
or my other opinion is get rid of it and make the character a little bigger.
good quality back ground though.
Its very good! I only feel that there is something missing on the top - because the bottom half is so heavy with the dark color? Its all about balance, its there - it just needs some final touches - but when your finally finished I really think it will be accepted!
It's pretty good idea. However, I think the problem with your wall is that you are trying to combine elements that kind of does not blend together so it makes the components of your wall are sort of detached from one another.
The sun and the rays of light and the brush are of abstract style. While the tree and the sky background looks too realistic. Maybe you can try to simplify the tree and the clouds by vectoring some parts of it.
The swirly brush on the right seems to be there for no reason. I think it will be better if you try to integrate it more to the wall by placing it around the character / the sun / the grass.
Also try to play around with the colors (other than black :p) Don't be afraid to give it more contrast and or shades. An all black look makes your wall rather dull, the sky colors is not helping either.
Please don't take my critiques negatively and good luck in getting this accepted ^_^
Ok.. so I made some changes.
I added some colors, simplified the trees, removed Yoko and inserted Mugen from Samurai Champloo, I moved the swirly thingies from the right side to the middle behind Mugen. The cloudthingies was removed and I put in some flowerthingies instead, but I might've overdone it.
Oh, I know the colors are pretty dull, but thats kinda the point. Theres so many wallpapers with these really bright and shiny colors that burns your eyes everytime you look at it.

I like it, its good, but I don't know about the flower looking things inside if the stripes, they're ok, but I think it would be better if you put a different type of texture inside of it. But otherwise its good!
I'm just gonna consider this one failed and maybe start on another wallpaper. It was just a tutorial anyways, but at least I found out how fun it actually is to create a wallpaper :)

Here Bunny. Copy Bunny in your signature to help him on his road towards THE DOMINATION OF THE WORLD.
Added some text (doesn't fit)
Changed some textures (worked out for the better I think)
Still looks empty, and dno what to do about it.
Probably gonna change the text and logo when I find and figure out how to do a better replacement.
Plans for the future: Add some more stuff so it doesn't look so empty. Maybe some butterflies on the grass
