This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I just submitted a revision. I realized I forgot to vector some elements and I wanted to incorporate your comments. So I cleaned up some parts of the image and tried to remove a lot of the sharp edges. I also changed the colors slightly in some areas. Keep the comments comming!

I haven't made a wallpaper in ages, but decided to make one a week ago when I saw the latest ep of Gundam 00.
The image of Marina is taken from the ending credits and the Gundam Exia head is from episode 18. I vectored both images and pretty much everything else in illustrator. I did the gundam eyes and tried to do the glass window effect in photoshop. I probably made like 7 variations of this wall, messing with the background and stuff before I decided on this one.
Here's a question for you guys. So when Marina appears in the ending credits, the song goes "Don't let it go." Why did I decide to call the wallpaper "Don't fade away?" I'll let you guys try and figure that out. Hint: It's also lyrics from another song I like.
I spent a lot of time on this, and hope you all enjoy it. Any comments or criticisms is greatly appreciated.
Awesome vector and marina is a good character. The resolution is good too.
But may be another color that dark blue in her dress would have been better and the hair is too black. Anyway, good job.
The composition totally rocks!
Loved the colors, the mecha "mask". The vector is fine, but i think this Wall would earn with a more detailed vector.
Anyway, I liked it quite much, good work!
Simple but very good !! Yes, I say simple because of the black background, but everything in this wallpaper is very well designed. First the character who is well incorporated with good transparent effect due to the window. I especially like the double blue lines going from light to dark which are in good color with the eyes of Marina and the Gundam. Well, nice work.
I see what your trying to go for and the composition is indeed quite nice. Marina needs some touching up though. Sorry for the negative comment but I think she needs some smoothing out on the edges. It's too sharp in my opinion. Colors need to be lighter in some areas. There is too much contrast between colors (unless that is your goal to begin with then my bad).
The Gundam on the other is excellent! Good job on that!
Yeah this wallpaper really rockz, the vector work is pretty great and the gundam eyes looks awesome, the colors match perfectly together, i love the simplicity of this wall, the background is perfect
thx for sharing that wallpaper
keep up the good work
The vectoring could use some tweaking, it feels sloppy and I would have preferred if there were outlines. As for the face of Exia, it's decent, but it seems rather peculiar. I love the blue strip, and the choice of text isn't too bad either. Well, nice concept, just some things that you would need to work on.
I just finished cleaning and fixing up the vectoring as best I could. Hope it's better.

Yea, I was trying to figure out how to color her dress. I was thinking the teal color like the background, or a blue like her eyes, or yellow. But, those didn't work out too well. Any suggestions? Or maybe not even use a white themed dress?
Very nice wall here. the color scheme works well. i like the bright contrast of the character against the bg, although not too bright. i also like the blue in the bg, because it brings out her eyes.
