This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I just submitted a revision. I realized I forgot to vector some elements and I wanted to incorporate your comments. So I cleaned up some parts of the image and tried to remove a lot of the sharp edges. I also changed the colors slightly in some areas. Keep the comments comming!

I haven't made a wallpaper in ages, but decided to make one a week ago when I saw the latest ep of Gundam 00.
The image of Marina is taken from the ending credits and the Gundam Exia head is from episode 18. I vectored both images and pretty much everything else in illustrator. I did the gundam eyes and tried to do the glass window effect in photoshop. I probably made like 7 variations of this wall, messing with the background and stuff before I decided on this one.
Here's a question for you guys. So when Marina appears in the ending credits, the song goes "Don't let it go." Why did I decide to call the wallpaper "Don't fade away?" I'll let you guys try and figure that out. Hint: It's also lyrics from another song I like.
I spent a lot of time on this, and hope you all enjoy it. Any comments or criticisms is greatly appreciated.
I think Marina's eyes kind of look like they are lifeless and the bottom part of her hair looks kind of weird since it's shade color is a different than the color used for the top part of her hair. Other than that,I really like this. Exia's eyes at the bottom look great and I love this picture of Marina.
Nnniiccceee.. look at that ... white wings, sphere, commit, sparkles every where and "lots of thing on my mind" ...but look at the sky ... Not good with sky ... yah right
Hay come on, each part of the picture complete the other until you get a perfect scenery .. in your case..
hmmmm.. the sky is some how good ... LOOL I'm joking here ... the sky look perfect spicily in the lower part.. congratulation for this wonderful work
and please no more 'drawing strike'

How nice. The exia there looks fantastic and blends well with the dark background. Marina vector there looks kinda weird, but she fits with the design of the wallpaper. Good job.
