A gurren lagan wallpaper, featuring simon. project for this one came to me after seeing last dvd's cover. i wanted to retain the basic idea from the cover, while having everything simple - in series' ending mood. it was quite challenging for me, as it was the first time i made and used a vector in my wallpaper. also, a base for the vector was not perfect - i only had 269x400 version of it, so it was neither accurate nor helpful. however, i think that it turned out quite good, with final piece being similiar to what i had in mind. besides vectoring, the second hardest part was making the skull "burn" on the cape. it took me quite a few tries to get a satisfying outcome, but i like it how it is now.

Wow so awesome. This has got to be one of the best gurren lagann wallpapers Ive ever seen. I cant wait for the last DVD to be released. Anyways what a truly splendid wall you've made. Considering how small you said the base pic was the vector turned out great. The fire is also extremley nice, Im sure it takes a great amount of skill that pull that off :) Seriously great work and thank you so much for sharing with us. Im gonna add this to my favorites now :)

its so cool ..... btw i haven't see even one of the episodes of this anime
so tell me is it good or not i mean if there is a funny looking robot with a funny looking
10 years old kid piloting it ... blaaahhh ..(I read somewhere that its mecha ) ,
althgouth i am still unaware of the true plot and the quality of its drawings ...

The Bg behind already looks good. But y'know, the fire on his back has totally destroy the colors of the character and the BG (but the effect is cool)

Not bad,I like how the background is presented.Even the words to the side are really awesome,nice choice of colors including the black/white/grey and the red.Only think that bothers me is the flaming effect on the back.

Personally,I think it should be just colored in red and thats all,the flaming just stands out from the rest of it,letting it doing its own thing and not blending with the rest of the wallpaper.But this is just my opinon,good job.
