After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Happy birthday Moon-chan! Well, belated birthday I guess :) Only belated because Photoshop is a very cruel and heartless program. (I lost 8 hours of work on this wall the night before Moon-chan's birthday.) But I don't want you to feel bad about it at all Moon-chan. You're worth it ;)
I guess this is a kind of depressing wall for what's supposed to be a happy occasion. But I guess it's alright. I wanted to try and portray the slightly darker, sadder side of our songstress. Even the Pink Princess can get depressed; it happens to everyone and we all learn to deal with it in our own way. We can't let take over our lives.
Tsukiakari means Moonlight.
The original scan had text and bad colour so of course I vectored it. After that, I had to design the background. Basic scenario: Lacus is lying backwards on her bed, late at night, moonlight streaming through her window. I guess designing her room was fun. At first I just made the window, but the walls looked way too empty, so I gave them some colour, pattern, and panelling. Then I added a photo of Kira and Lacus on the wall. Then the Haro clock. Gotta love the Haro clock! Although it wouldn't really work :P I added a painting of sorts to the left of the wall, and added Kira and Lacus in the painting.
Everything in this wall is made from scratch, except for the painting (stock), and the moon/clouds (brush). Therefore I'm sure the perspective is kind of off lol XD Ah well.
I guess that's about it! I hope you like it Moon-chan, sorry for the lateness and I hope you had a memorable birthday ^_^
Absolutely goregous! Moonlight is really perfect, reflection on her body too, and pics of them are so cute hanging on the walls, and ofcourse most important is: vector is just to beautiful, lines are perfect, all the same size, and lol 44 layers for all? i would have 500+!
fantastic job!

Very nice your wall, especially the vector but i think there is a prob on it, look carefully, you made a night background but the light on Lacus is like on day so i think you should change the light and turn it down a little otherwise i don't see any big mistakes
Wow! A very very nice and crative wallpaper u´v made there!! I really really like all the detials all over the room, the "kira & lacus" portraits, the "pink-chan/haro" clock onthe wall, and the moonlight scene!! ^^
Good job!

Wow, this is so amazing! Your vector skills are top-notch. I love the idea with the moonlight coming through the window. It looks fabulous. :3 And the paintings and all on the walls are great. Aww, she looks so sad...like she has a bad stomachache or something! But anyhoo, I love this. I'm sure your friend does, too. ^_^ Great job!
I don't care much for this anime but I love this wall and the way it's portrayed, it reminds me of my nights laying in bed looking up and the thinking about nothing. I love the window and the stars and the way the light shines over her body, the pictures on the wall are a great touch of detail, and the layering is super impressive, you did a wonderful job and happy birthday to your friend A++ and a fav
Very nice. I like this wallpaper. You have done a good job in both vectoring the image and making the moonlight effect. The only improvement I see is the photo's that are up in the room. Colour of it is out of place and is probably due to them being the only stock picture you put in this wall. Oh well.
It looks like you spent too little time on certain areas to me. First off is the lighting. The lighting in the wall doe snot match the lighting in the scan. Since you were already vectoring the scan, it wouldn't have been a whole lot more work if you already knew what you would be doing to the wall, to change the lighting on the scan to the wall.
The perspective is off. It's clear you attempted the vanishing point trick, but the perspective of the bed is off from the rest of it. You would have also been better off doing curvilinear perspective. For 3-point perspective, it usually works out best.
Also, the light shining through onto her does not conform to the curves of her body. That is like...basic lighting 101. Take the time and draw the lighting over her body s you hit each of the curves. You'd be amazed at how much better the wall would look.
I also would have left off the images of her and Kira. I think it takes away from the wall and the mood. If you felt you needed to have something on the walls, I would have suggested a pattern on the wall instead.
The light coming in from the window and the sky outside are nice though.
It's a rather ambitious wall, and I think it needed more time spent on it to work out the details and to make everything right.
This is a nice wallpaper, but you need to study the effects of light more. The light that is on Lacus's body shouldn't have remained square, the light would conform to the shape of her body instead of remaining squares. Also, her body would have cast a shadow on the bed too. Other than that, I think that this wallpaper has many strengths. Keep up the work. ^_^
Ah xD; even in the thumbnail, the perspective threw me...it's off. the bed should be the most obvious indicator. there are other iffy things besides that as well. with such a scene -- so many straight lines and geometric shapes -- it's next to impossible, if not impossible, to get away with not nailing the perspective. x__x
lighting is the second issue. the rectangles of light cast by the window have no regard for the contours of what they are cast against... their edges should follow the shape of lacus' body and the bed and if the inclination is steep enough for her body to block, either fully or partially, the light, then it would not exist in that area or be as bright. it would have been also nice if you vectored the shading on lacus and the bed according to your limited light source. simply darkening the parts that the moonlight doesn't hit isn't sufficient. it's more work but it brings unity to the wall. something else about lighting is that the walls shouldn't be at about the same dimness -- maybe you can observe that at night in a room lit with just a window.
and just a little note about the leftmost painting of kira and lacus: i see aliasing on the trees...not good for an otherwise clean wall. ah, but the haro clock idea is really cute though. xD i can see your aspiration to make something great, on the next level up, behind your concept. but the technical stuff -- the execution of the wall -- that's... um... not as great. however, this is a learning experience right? so please don't take what i said in a negative light. hone your skills and keep working and you'll surely get better at this. =]
Saw this in MT.
though i'm not really a fan of GS/GSD but i really do like Lacus.
you did a great job on vectoring Lacus + the bg is nice!
love the crescent moon + the starry skies
though same as vectorman, kalico and asa1 said the lightings is bit
different due to the day like dimness + the perspective of the bed is off
and it doesnt suit in the perspective of the wall.
but overall nice vector and haro clock!
Oh, the concept's really nice! But I think the vectored scan doesn't really suit the 3D bg.
I'd have vectored the bg too >__< Very nice work on the vectoring nonetheless! :3

I love the title, very unique.
Well your able to show what you want to show here in your wallpaper, I mean your able to show the sadder side of Lacus Clyne.
Vectoring is really nice, very good.
The one that catches my attention is those pictures of Lacus with Kira, so sweet and also the "haro clock"
