This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I can't remember how many times it was that this wallpaper went in and out of Session Zero. I only know that this is my first time that I really want my wall to be accepted, and I worked harder on it than anything I have ever done before
Program used: Ulead Photoimpact (it's not as popular as Photoshop, so many of you might never have heard of it)
Layers: 30-40
Idea: It is evening, and Eyes is in his room. For those who have never watched the series before, Eyes is a pianist, hence the piano in the room ^^ The sun is shining into the room through the window, and the sky is reddish purple in colour. I tried to make the room feel as English/Victorian as possible, and the deco in the room too^^ The original floor was made of tiles, but I changed it to a carpet because as a pianist myself, I know how irritating it is to have sounds bouncing off the floor each time I play the piano. At first, I forgot to add the piano stool until fayt19 reminded me of it...thanks~~ (How is Eyes going to play the piano without a stool to sit on? *Idiocy on my part*)
The title 'Picturesque' was given because everything in the wall is so still, like Eyes is preparing to take a photo of himself. Or rather, I'm the one taking it
I guess that's all. I welcome any suggestions, comments and critiques to help me make this wall better. Special thanks to damoser for pointing out the mistakes in the wall, and thanks to everyone who have helped me by commenting in SZ too^^

n/p on the help. just doing what i can to help good concepts make it to the gallery. and a good concept this is. i'm glad to see you followed through and did everything you could to complete this, so many don't finish, or make it just good enough to be accepted. you payed close attention to what you were doing, and then to what suggestions were made. keep up that attitude and you'll be making SSS walls in no time. well, there will be time, just not as much as people who ignore counsel and push their way through, they rarely make SSS walls.

Congrats on your first wall! I really like the feeling you put into the wall here... i also like the way that you disguised you sig as the name of the piano... i couldn't spot it at first until in noticed it was part of the piano... Your name on the piano gives an impression of you being close to him... (since he's a pianist i am sure he is very close to his piano.. ) The piano looks better now... the one with the front view was too purple...
however, i feel that eyes is a bit too blur... maybe it's jz me i think (eyesight failing )
Overall... you have a great love for eyes and the determination to match it!!

Awesome! Finally, all your hard work paid off! It's good that you really worked hard at it, and now you can sit back and be satisfied with your work. It looks like you took my advice about the shadows.. It looks more convincing now than before.
Sweet! I seen this in Session Zero and every revision I thought it was going to go into the gallery but WOW! This final version is the best! I love how he looks. I will admit I'm only seeing it in the preview because of the size thing.. I'm wide screen. But WOW! He looks so... and the room is so... ... You can help but !
