This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I haven't been on the computer in a while so I think I'll stay on a bit longer to talk ^^ I'll be right back, I'm going to try to re-start my computer and see if my MSN will run.
It's been awhile since I last made a wall. I know this is simple, but I honestly don't know what else I could do to it. I tried various flowers and stylized dot brushes, but it just ended up feeling too crowded. Any advice? Or is this good enough to submit to wallpapers as is?
Well, I suggest eliminating the upper and lower borders and doing a scenic wallpaper instead of an abstract grungy one. You can paint some clouds like I did in my " Wish you were here" wallpaper, I'm sure it would look lovely :) If you don't want to paint them you can use cloud brushes.
Wow! i love it!
the Vector fits with the BG.
why dont you put a title it will be more good for this wallie, and you can add some magic-dust to fill the empty spaces.
but its very good anyway!
keep it up!!

I think the character and the bg are matching, but is this the size (1024x768) you want to submit? In this seize i see rough outlines
Am i right that you're working with the scan of the char? Of course i don't know the quality of the scan, if it is bad you maybe should rework some outlines.
Although i like your wall, it's very harmonic.
Lovely job on the vector. I think all of the colors work very nicely together. It gives the wall a peaceful feel.
I agree the edges of the vector are a bit rough though... I wonder what happened on resizing? I know everyone struggles with font selection/word selection in walls, but I think a title would help add that something to the empty space you're looking for, along with maybe something like magic dust swirls as Leviatan suggested, or ribbons or swirling flower petals... something like that.
My unconscious search for your smile will not stop

I really like the picture you chose to make your wall but here are some tips I think would help you to improve your wallpaper:
1 If I were you I should get rid of that pink borders an replace them for a black border.
2 I like very much the idea of leviatan: magic dust! Very sweet detail! Or maybe instead of dust you could add some butterflies. As you wish^^
3 The background: you know what? I imagine a completely different scenery: a dark blue starry sky with full moon and a lake far away. Also you can add cherry blossoms flying away. I think that is an interesting idea^^

for me
i think you can try various flowers ( i don't know nice or not)
both of the borders can be removed

Keep up the good work, and best of luck to you =)
The vector is nicely done and so is the bg :)
