This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is Balsa from Seirei no Moribito, my current favorite anime. :3 She's sooo awesome. I suggest the anime greatly! There's only one other wallpaper from this show here, and I felt stupid because it uses the same scan I chose. XD Oh well. But I vectored it, so there. And mine's red/magenta...hehe. With clouds. So yeah, anyhoo, I wasn't sure what to do with the scan at first! I didn't want to vector ever again, but I didn't want to spend the time extracting it to a T and then cleaning up the scan. -__- Too grainy!! I thought, "Hey, just hide it with being dark and texture-y..." Well, that would've been too much work...haha, though I don't know what made me think that vectoring would be easier!
It took a lot less time than my last one though. :3 Roughly 8 hours...maybe? I don't know. I didn't keep track! The vector has um, I can't count...but 80+ layers [shape and others combined]...or something. ^^;; I don't feel like counting them. Oh yeah, and something else that's different this time...is that I vectored her right on my background that I was fooling around with instead of having the vector of her be on a totally different file. XD I was only going to do her eyes, but obviously I decided to vector ALL of her because the scan was so crappy. ANYHOO, the background was all brushwork and some pathetic-looking mountains. Sorry. Retarded mountain-range. I wanted a wallpaper similar to the scan...just dark and red and whatnot...Uh...some texture overlays here and there (like on her outfit), and then the title.
I hope it all looks ok!! I worked hard on it, and I'm pretty proud of it, too. Enjoy!
Oh yes a seirei no moribito wallpaper and damn good one at that. I dont think I can thank you enough for making a wallpaper from this wonderful anime and of one of the most awesome female leads in a long time. Just about everything is great and for your second vector it looks damnn good so you should be proud of it :) Thanks again for making this wallpaper and hopefully we can see some more from you in the future.
Yay, thanks for making the 2nd Seirei no Moribito wall. :)
That is SUCH a beautiful anime and it doesn't get the attention it deserves!
I like how you have a reddish theme going on in the wall.
Nice vector too you are good for not vectoring much before!
Keep it up! :D
Wow Zakuro-chan you improved a lot with vectors, I love this one you made it really well for being your second one, and I really like the texture that you put, I just can see a really little mistakes, still I love it very nice job!
Seirei no moribito is one of my favourite animes and the wall is great. But it's not perfect :P I guess if her lance was shown a litle more it would've made Balsa look more dangerous and the wall was going to be more like "back off or there will be trouble", but now i just can't make up mi mind on what to focus - the litle part of the lance in the corner or on the "don't mess with me" look...
Oh, and another thing - why red? It's somewhat depressing, it's neither dark, nor bright colour...
Hello and greetings Angel, sorry for the delay on comments on your walls, but I kinda passed out for a week...but enough of that!
As has already been said, very nice job on the vector for this wall. I downloaded it and stared at the eye detail for a while. Love the treatment you gave them. Now I have never seen this anime, and don't know anything about the character, but I would assume that the character here would be considered a badass. Though the vector is good, I would of maybe pushed her a bit further back and added a bit of dynamic pose to her somewhat. Well this is a vector of a scan so I guess it would be a little tough to alter her, but enough o that.
Over all it is a good wall. It's not your best I don't think, that goes to your Loveless wall, "Come What May," but it is a good wall. And the vector job is really great. I see you are still playing with the painterly elements btw...
Oohh, nice! I love the colour-scheme and the work you've put into the background there. ^_^
Funny though, for some reason she looks even more like Saya than she usually does to me... then again I always think that about Balsa. XP

You are a very talented wall maker!!

Come state your claim with the rest of the Rabid Fangirls!
What I like on this wall is the perfect color match and fitting to each other, between the background and the character.
Good job.
