I was surprised that almost no one knowed here this series and in APs gallery was also only a single one wallpaper and no one with my favorite character Nei (the blonde girl). The story is happening on the colonized Mars, so don't think that I just made a random planet there. I myself liked the series very much and the time has come for me, to make a wall from it.
The wallpaper is dedicated to my friend Selennna, as a gift of her promotion to a Community Waller. Yeaz! We both doing a lot of walls from less popular series, so hope she will like this one.
Well about the work process:
The characters are full vector from a scan here on AP. The planet Mars was created by me in Photoshop with SG brushes and Spherize Effect. Background also in PS, colorized to red to more harmonize with the planet.
Software: Abdobe Photoshop CS2
Layers by vectoring: 678

Original size: 20,8 MB (.psd)
Original resolution: 2048x1536
Latest edit: changed from 1600x1200 to 2048x1536

But what to say about this one? Say i'm bit*hin but the red planet looks a little too red, as well as the sky (!). And why is Nei up front? It looks like Leela doesn't protect her that way or like there's something between them...
It's a very dynamic one, especially well done is the universe-like background and it fits with the characters, even if the blending could be probably a little big better. However the characters themselves are -again- a great vector work of yours. Well, as usual.
And you really hit one of my most favorite color themes.

The bar at the bottom is a bit obtrusive, I'd go with a more subtle titling.

◕ ◡ ◕i really like the mars there and the stars look cool too... a little blending would be nice though , for exemple matching the characters color tones with the backgrounds, and/or adding textures on the overall image... giving a light sorce and tone the characters that way could also improve this wall...
for exemple the character at the back could be darker, that way it would feel more like that character is really farther away than the one in the front
