Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I made this wallpaper a long time ago. I really don’t have too much to say about it. I wanted to create an abstract wallpaper and shows that the character is fading away but I’m not sure if I have achieved that!
The background:
It’s a combination of several pictures of the sky I took myself. I love taking photographs The main texture is a photo of the snow (I know, it’s hard to believe that but it’s true:3) Then I used many blending options.
The picture:
It’s a PNG but I didn’t extracted it. I don’t remember where I got that picture:( If you know just tell me, please n___n
In my opinion the wall creates a very melancholic atmosphere.
I've edited the text and I added to the character some vanishing pieces on her arm.
Time: about 3 days
Software: Photoshop
Layers: 40 or more

It looks really nice
like a puzzel
the idea is good but I think if you made just the girl like a puzzel and the background would be not like the girl it would looks better
good work like I said

Interesting idea though I think once full viewed the quality is low. The whole is too blurry and the disappearing parts are almost melting together that makes the whole wall look too messy.
Definitely give you credit for the good effort put into the wall. But, somehow I cannot seem to feel the vanishing part of the wall you intended for it to have. The vanishing effect you put in looks for fragmented and just feels to robotic and unorganic. In terms of the bg, very well done patching up different photographs to get the bg... good effort put into definitely!

Oh.. That's a very interesting work, I think. Although I don't usually like the walls that "create melancholic atmosphere" (as you wrote), I'm going to add this one to my fav list. Mostly for those original, unusual ideas that you used while creating it. Looking forward to seeing more of your walls^^
Was this wallpaper originally just 1024x768? Maybe that's why it appears blurry on the larger resolutions!
Anyhoo. I'm so happy for you!! You were finally able to submit a wallpaper and get it accepted. Though it should've been accepted sooner! I love how abstract this is...I never would've thought of it! You probably remember what I said about this on theO, but yeah. I like it, though I agree it appears slightly blurry. Wow, I didn't know you took those photos!! The sky is beautiful. You're very talented indeed. :3 I hope to see more wallies from you now!
Wow this is a very interesting wall.
I think it would look more appealing if the images were sharper. The blurriness takes away from the peicey look of it. However the concept is rather arts-y. :P
Interesting i believe if you work harder on this concept you can come up with some really high quality extremely original wallpapers, not saying this isn't good but it could be better which i'm sure you can do with the right motivation and time ;)
