This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Is made from the mangacover of naruto issue #226,
some of the lines in the scan were not seen,so i
had to imagine and create some lines and
I used different widths. but i doudbt that anyone could see the difference.
Some of the shadow in the scan were also not seen, so i had to create my own shadows,
like in the walls, stariways and trees.
Enjoy!

OMG, man.
That looks so awesome. (must be because I haven`t seen it before)
Okay now, since the title says "to my dear friend".
The title sounds like writing a letter to a friend.
So, why not putting some effects of a paper and some good old brushes could do the trick.
The wallpaper actually needs more work `cause I think it still looks like the manga cover.
BTW, like the shadows.
Even though I'm not a Naruto fan, I must say this wall is awesome! The perspective is the thing that caught my eye, but the colors are really nice too - nothing too hard on the eye. It just begs me to fav it :) So I will.
If you vectored this wall you have amazing skill because this is really great, I would have never thought this was a manga cover, all around I think you did a amazing job the resolution is perfect for the picture and it's not to bright, it's loud but not over barring, it has detail but not to flashy either, really great A+ and a fav
Your work is really good but i think you could have manipulated the final image a bit more.
like you could have removed a lot of th black outlines instead of having them everywhere... or you could have used coloured outlines
you could also have blurred a few areas to indicate motion because its a really dynamic scene
hmmm and a little bit of blurring for the filed of depth
still its pretty good work
i guess you'll keep getting better and better one way or the other :D
Excellent ideas, and great planning. Your execution however, is a bit lacking. Your vectors don't have enough colors or just color color choice. Because they are just not poping from the page like they should with a good vector. You have a lot of skill don't get me wrong but there is room for improvment. I see a lot of jaggy edges, and areas that it looks like were not colored in with a mask. Keep working at it.
Looks nice! I like a lot the scan so I think you've made a great work cleaning it, although colors look a bit lighter. Anyway, it's really cool! Very good work
