Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Okay, yes this is a wallpaper of Cardcaptor Sakura by CLAMP. I would give a more detailed description by I have the flu (probably from being outside in the rain... Oh well.) This paper is dedicated to my friend Shelby who even though she's like 16 she still loves Cardcaptor Sakura.......(It's an unhealthy obsession.) I hope you guys enjoy it. I know it's basic but sometimes simplicity tied with the innocence of childhood is refreshing. (Shesh... This typings wearing me out .)

Nice colors, I agree with Kaizor, maybe some of the petals can come outside the frame onto the BG to give it an extra touch.
A critique... I think the simplicity thing you have going works well with the image but maybe you could try to clean the image without the filter/texture/original whatever it is... so that the image itself blends and matches the simplistic non-textured background a bit better
I believe the petal floating all over the pic will make better too.
And you can try some filter on the character,I believe that could help to fit the background.

It looks great! You have chose the right colour theme for the charater, also I always admire a simple BG. (I trust simple is the best) This pink in colour is fit with the charater image, energetic, brightful, and harmony.
