This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Just a quick little wallpaper for practice and a break from painting and vectoring. xP

My first time using a stock photo background... Paint Shop Pro's filters are terrible compared to Photoshop's, but I did the best I could.
I also changed it's colors to be more green (unlike the original yellow-ish-ness) and smudged over the tree and leaves, and finally got rid of a few things I didn't want in it. :3

When I saw this scan I just HADTA use it... something about her expression was just so cool.
(No cleaning really required... at least nothing worth mentioning.)
I did haveta vector her bangs because they were too thin for PSP to get out right.
(I can't extract with my pen tool... all freehand lasso. DX)
The leaves flying around her (the barely noticable ones) are vectored + painted from the original scan.
For this wallpaper I wanted a kinda natural yet magical feel, and I thought the text fit perfectly. THEN I remembered they also happened to be lyrics in a song (Aly and Aj's... Rush? o-O I don't really care for that song...) and so I looked up the rest and added the line "out of the dark; sunlight again".
(Which then made me wanna add the rays of light through the tree~)

Finally, this is a wallpaper for Forget Me Not because there's only one wallpaper with Hotaru in it. D:
She's not a main-main character, but she's still cool.
Haha... guess in the end I really didn't get that far from vectoring and painting. >.>

I think it's really pretty and she fits well in to the photo the green is perfect and the light shinning through the trees makes her face glow with beauty. Really nice work B+

Anyway, great job with the extraction and re-vectoring. The left part of the wall looks really nice, but the right part where you see all the trees and the bench looks too real to go with the character. Still, the rays shining through are a nice touch ^^ and the whole wall has a pleasant, calming effect.
...emmm...nice wallpaper...its looks so peaceful...and is that backround the real one coz its looks so real to me...and that's a nice background you got...keep it up...

What a great wall! It's so calm and tranquil, but I have to agree with Kaizor on the fact that she seems 'out' of the scene and not 'in' it herself, in other words, she looks like she isn't even in the background. But overall, I really like it ^__^
The background looks really good, the outside scenery in a park looks very nice, though it could look a bit better without the sky among the leaves to make it more intimate. The character looks good, she fits to the background well. Nice wallpaper.
While the white and black parts of the character picture are very clean and smooth, the other parts look grainy.
I would clean up at least the hairs, the bird's claws, the grey bandages on his arm and the gloves to get a more coherent look.
Besides of this, the wallpaper looks nice as usual. The character picture stands out more than I usually prefer it to be, but I wouldn't like to be in that frosty and windy bg as well as the guy seems to...
