While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
At last...i've managed to complete a wall while studying for my finals!
anyway, this wall is my entry for the Kalico and Redxxii's Wallpaper contest, and i've been delaying till the last minute as i'm too busy because of tons of assignments.. which i hate it...
well...for this wall, i've decided to make an evening scene by using stock photos and lots of textures and brushes.
Think i've spent about 12 hours on this wall from yesterday till now altering the textures and colour.
Nothing new from me actually as I've been having a waller's block lately.
think i should get back to walling asap before my skills are rusted...lol

You shouldn't hate it!! I like it a lot! The textures are cool, and I really like how you have the light hitting her like that. :3 I would've liked the text to be blended in a bit more, but that's fine. Great job! I hope you do well in the contest!
I like the textures alot and I do think it's beautiful the only problems I can see with it are the edges are rusted looking I think they need to be more smooth and maybe you could add another layer and make her face a bit more bright, other then a few easy to fix details it's a great wallpaper
The background looks great, and the petals too Still, I think you should lessen the textures on the girl, because somehow her legs and their outlines look odd. However, you did a great job with all the lighting effects, and they bring out the feeling of evening well ^^
