This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Well, this wall was in the works for a while, and then i just forgot about it.
and this morning, when i was updating pixelated graffiti, i saw it and went..."HEY!"
so, i worked on it a bit, and finished it up. it was a quick finish though, so be nice.
originally, i was going to have him look like he was falling back into this shattered mess. but i decided against it mainly because his pose threw the perspective out of whack and there wasn't enough forshortening to make it work like i wanted.
so, i went for an abstract-ish background with only a relative amount of depth. i wanted to keep it looking kind of shallow, and threw in a light spot behind ayato to attract your eye to that area.
so...that sums it up. pretty simple. yet, it looks kinda complex.
enjoy it, or hate it. it's up to you :P
concider it a quickie cause i'm busy with classes lol
since i get complaints about not having any 1600 resolutions. i'll tell ya this :3
i upload 3 resolutions of my walls to pixelated graffiti on most saturdays...1024x768, 1280x960, 1600x1200
so for more resolutions, please check there in a week or 2.

Great wallpaper. The harsh sharp shapes in the background compliments greatly on the title of this wall. Really amazing use of special effects, and the image of the character in the mist of shattered glass is ingenius.
Interesting wall indeed, I like the dynamics of it with the shattered effect, as well as the placement of the images in the background, Ayato's image adds to the overall theme of the wall. Nice placement of the text, too ^^ Great job.

Very schnazzy. I love your nack for blending textures so well, especially with other scans. Very nice glass stuff there. Don't really dig the glow thing going on around his hand. I sound monotone, don't I? -__-

Wow I love the shattered glass, you really went far with the details. I took a closer instpectiion of the wall. Zoomed in... TWICE xD and noticed there was a little more then just shattered glass in the BG. Anyway Great Wall.
