This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
My first real attempt at making a wallpaper, spent ~2 hours on the wallpaper; most of the time was spent on moving things around to get a good feel. The images are Noizi Itou's orginal so credit goes to her. I'm in the progress of vectoring some Shana pictures for scan submissions and my future works. Comments and Constructive criticism appreciated
Great wallpaper!
I like the backround is like a film camara, the arrows in shana(so original)^.^!!
The clear in your job is amazing , your wallpaper is awesome!
Good job

As mentioned already, if this had of been vectored, it woulda been great.
But still it is a good job anyway! =)
However, im not sure if the arrows were relevant. :/
Nice work nonetheless.
For a first shot this is really good you made everything flow and fit in together you didn't over do it by adding a lot of flash, awesome job on the lettering in the title, the patterns by shanas back are very cool (love the red), and it's smooth and clean no ruff edges that's says a lot. B+ nice work.
This wall would be perfect without the arrows and the film strip.
I love the text and the design behind it on the dark background and the light similar design behind Shana works great. however the film strip adds too much weight to the bottom of the wall and the arrows confuse the focal point by pointing the eyes to the right edge of the wall.
Love the colours, though. :)
I have no complaints with the arrows, but I don't quite agree with the film strip. The holes are circular, for one o.o Other than that, I like the text, and the general idea of the wallpaper is interesting too ^^
Oh,pretty shana.Thank you for the wide version,it can be used to the background by play station3.The film stlye under the pic is very nice, illustrate of the CG's also looks very well.I'll fav it.THX for the sharing
Very nice work. Can't say anything bad about it. The filmstrip fits to it too I think. The Retro Shana font suits well too espacially with the mirror effect and the background. The pictures you choosed for the filmestrip are sweet.
Weren't sure at first about that line around Shana, but after looking at it the second time, it looks good on it.
Really nice composition and work. Really nice wallpaper but the cutout edges on shana are a bit iffy, you could have removed alot more of the edges if you would put a bit more time to clean them out.
Cheap and fast way as background is mostly black/brownish? is to just use the brushtool whit some black/brown and paint over the brighter edges. Fast and easy and should make it look alot better. As some mentioned if it would have been vector... just damn... Would love if you would put a little extra time on cleaning the cutout a bit. It's not that time consuming.
Not bad,its really giving you "retro" feeling. But the text should have used a more unique font, yes?
Nice work overall, and seeing that it was a first attempt it was actually great.Ah,and another thing, good work on the film roll, should it be removed or changed, this would lose its "meaning".Good work on that one.

love the wall especially the scan...
her posture really great...
but what's with the filmstrip?
maybe shouldn't be there...
really nice job anyway...
However, I think these filmstrips are too wide...
