This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Memories... What do they mean to us? Some are meant to hurt us, while others are meant for us to remember the good in our lives. What do your memories mean to you?
Anywho, to my wallpaper. I wanted to make this type of wallpaper because it hit me at one point thinking of what to make. Memories are slowly made, and once made, it can be beautiful, or terrifying. I decided to take the side of memories being ultimately beautiful at the end. That is why there are drawings of Misuzu first starting out as a simple sketch, then becoming fully colored.
Doing the different sketches of Misuzu took the most amount of time, but it was all worth it. Finding the right font was a bit hard, but I hope I got the right one.
Comments and stuff are welcome as always. Enjoy my latest wallpaper!
Wow... This is an actually good wallpaper. I like the way the pictures are set up in like the first draft then the final one. I really like the idea and it's an awesome wallpaper. :D

Ey, thats original, nice one.
Allthough I don't like the real-life feel to it I must say you made it look good. The only thing is those smaller feathers, they look weird and not as good as the biggest one. maybe adding more different shadows to them could work it out?
Very Nice! I do have one little qualm about it however. One of the sketch panels doesnt have the blue sheet lines in it. :) She looks like a cutout placed on top instead. X)
Oh wow...this is really great...i like how you can see the process of how the drawing came to be, theres a special quality to it...the colors are beautiful. good job ^ ^ !
That must have taking forever... I would have probably given up at the first hour! I don't have the patiences to do something like that. ^^; Ah, but you sure did... and you did an amazing job! *two thumbs up* Can't wait to see more. Well, take care.
Wow, very nice wallpaper, i really like the idea... very realistic look, pencils, feathers and papers sheets are very well extract, awesome, thumbs up!
Somehow this concept seems sooo familiar >> the coloring is neat nevertheless. but i just don't get why it's 'memories'. memories of yukito? he doesn't draw, you know xD misuzu? i just don't get it o.O
Wow this looks great.
it's so realistic looking, and i really like the concept.
you must have spent alot of time working on this, but it was all worth it.
i'm making this a favourite=)
Wow nice concept of the drawings from a rough draft to the final draft. thats original.
and i like how the table looks realistic and the feathers too.
great job ^^
What an imaginative wall! I really like the concept and you pulled it off well. The progressive sketches are done well and the final colored one also fits good. Two of the b/w sketches need the lines coming through better, as you did with the 2nd to last sketch. Also, the three feathers on the top seems stranglely out-of-place - both their positioning and their "realistic quality". As other suggested, try to add some shadows and maybe vary their positions, less uniform and not to look like they were placed like that.
Dare to be different, because when your simply you

This is a cool wall. i love how there are the steps to making the anime character all lines out and stuff, step by stey is what i ment to say, sry. this wall looks really real. who did you get the wood? and pens to look that way? there is one thing i don't get..why are there feathers on the desk/table? confusion >_< is it because she has wings or somyhing, or is it just 4 like its a pen in the oldays or sothing. i don't know. if you could like tell me....that would be great
did you draw the pictures of that girl? if you did your really good at drawling.....................

Very, VERY original idea to use the sketches and show 'a drawing in progress'. Your thoughts behind this one sound quite intresting. And everything looks so real! The paper, the feathers, even the pencil and the pen. I couldn't have done this better - goes to favs!
