This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Yaaaayi, finally it's something else, that I wanted to make , but seems that not that bad, so I've uploaded here to hear your comments and critisize.
Something about wallie: after I've seen Princess Tutu, I just wanted to make something, because I really like it. And my choise brought to my favorite couple - Ahiru and Fakia. So I've made a vector (that wasn't too easy, how it may look like ) and I placed a tree behind them (it's a screenshot from Tutu) and I've got the idea to make som contrast, so I painted a rainbow and background I took to gray color. That's all. Comment please.
Oh~ Princess Tutu wall! I like the gray background and the vector of Ahiru and Fakir, but I think the rainbow colors are too bright, being way too saturated when compared to the rest of the image. I think if you soften the colors (to a pastel tone maybe) it would blend in with the image better.
The rainbow is really bright compared to the BG and the characters. If you really want the contrasting colours rainbow, fading the brightness of the colours into something similar to the characters colours maybe better.
The grey gradient BG is gorgeous and I also like the gray at the bottom of the wall. However while the white mountain maybe a screenshot, it doesn't clearly outline something (anything) and would probably add more to the wall by not being there. Try of grotto of fog trees That would look great against the characters colours, also a nice contrast.
Frankly, I love the placement of everything in this wall :) I think you shouldn't take anything out but add things to it. For starters, dim the colors of the rainbow a bit and they won't look so contrasting. Second, you can add a shadow under Fakir and Ahiru or a bunch of swirly brushes to make the wall more complex (I'm guessing it wasn't accepted because of the simplicity, since the quality is high).
Oh, and the vector is really beautiful, I can tell a lot of work went into it :)
I like the placement of the wall. I agree with Infinity, picking a light source and adding shadows would help define it more, and softening and/or blurring the shades of the rainbow would help make it blend alot more. Otherwise, I can't wait to see the finished product! I absolutely love the look of her eyes, they are so beautiful!

As the uppers told already, the rainbow is too bright. The Anime TuTu (and the illustrator Itou Kikuko) is very well known with her warm color tone.
But I'm just falling in love with the lines on their legs... It's very symbolic. Good idea.
After all, I really do like your work! Keep going!!
