This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is an old, old wallpaper of mine, and one of my best at the time. The scan was from another forum I was in called Project Zen. As for the background, I don't know how long it took me exactly to make it, but I know it took me awhile. I think it was my one of my first tries on blurring and blending. Some of the tech I created myself, but most of the tech lines was from an old buddy of ours from Anime Layer, which he created a template for many people to use.
I apologize if it's only 1024x768, but it's the only size I had it in. *bows*
Nice wall, I've been trying to make a Metroid wall for a while, but it always dies like half way or never turns out how I imagined it to be. Good job on this one.
