This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wall was originally started more than half year but then I dropped it because background was killing me and I couldn't finish it.
Now even though I have some walls that I want to work on, I have a block now >.> So I was going through some old ideas and found this one. Would be too bad to leave it since character and half of background were done so I recyced them and made this ^^
Just to note a common mistake - character is a girl :3 It's a young Revy from Black Lagoon. Here's scan:
Also, if you prefer textless walls or just think that puting it together with old and famous song like that was bad idea, here's textless ^^

Really really really cool. I love the concept ,this heavy ,dusty and industrial climate. Thick shadows ,vectored garbage in background and kid Revy fits perfectly. Great work ,deserving fav. :]

It really gives the wall a special impression and works perfect with the vector of the girl.
The vectors are flawless like always ^^
All in one an absolutly lovely concept greatly done.
Although this wall is "just a recycle" I have to say that I love it a lot.

I dunno why i'm getting up during odd hours on weekends. *should still be sleeping...in, that is* -__- *is tired* anyways, good thing this is no colorful (i'm loving grayscale-ish stuff more and more these days) or else my eyes would be @__@

well, like i said, i like the grayscale-ish thing. major props for vectoring stock (i can imagine the headache and effort for i've done the same...and which i hope not to do again any time soon). she looks quite natural in this setting. the blur is a bit too much for me -- i'd rather see one layer of gray to go in between the black and the...off-white (since you've given her a gray shadow anyway). maybe a bit of a blur to soften up the jaggies? (and blur is kinda your style, right? :P) *shrugs* but it doesn't change the fact that the vectoring is very nicely done, as is expected of you. xD
so it's +fav. *reverts back to lurking/absent status*
Ah I love the textless version but too sad it isn't 1600x1200 cause I would like to download it for my deskopt!
After all you did a good job but is it not like you're old wallpapers and I think this is the part of :"I will try something new" after all like I said you did a good job!

I love the title it's perfect (just like the song) and the art noir is killer, it's so clean cut and has that "bad ass vibe" going on, the simplicity of a wallpaper like this compared to the killing and blood spills of Black Lagoon is refreshing in a way and I love your style of wallpapers regardless of the anime. A+ and a fav
Wow! I knew this was a Deto wall when I saw the thumbnail on the front page! Hehe. I love how bold and complex the vector is. You have a very nice use of black and white. ^_^
I didn't expect it to be a recycled wall with only one resolution though.
But regardless, it can still fit on my screen, and I like it enough as it is as a b&w piece of art, so I'll fav.
