StellarXInochi's wallpaper is a beautiful piece of art combined with excellent design and an outstanding concept. The soft, yet bright colors create a fairytale-like atmosphere, and the water-color-like execution meets a successful typograhy and makes the wallpaper something special.
Well, this is my second ever self drawn-wallpaper at AP! =) The first attempt can be found here
I did this one in a completely different style as you can see lol.
I think I came a long way but first off I was inspired by an artist on the monthly Animage that I decided to adopt this perspective, hence my original character AQUA.
ORIGINAL ART I drew:
Time taken to draw art: 0.5 Hour
Time taken to make the wallpaper: 2 Days
Layers: 91 + [Including Text]
Brushing: ALL default [except for text]
Textures: celestial-star.net & feel.hironeko.net
I wanted something painting-style so I had to painfully adjust brush settings to fit the specific shapes I wanted, or making colors "go out" on purpose etc- anyhow it was both challenging and enjoyable!
The reason I chose lavenders as the flower for this wallpaper, is that we\'re currently in a rainy season - rather sentimental period of the year - and wanted to bring out the \"rainy\" atmosphere. I wanted the character to be surrounded in fields of lavender and portions of the face was excluded intentionally.
EDIT: I've cleaned the lines on the hands, cheeks, nose & mouth [got lazy on the eyes]

Yina was exactly right this is a beautiful piece of art work, I'm not only impressed by the fact that you drew this by hand but also what you did with it in this wall, the water color texture the amazing colors, and the angle of a side panel with her face glowing like an angel is wonderful. A++ and a fav great job

The text is noticable, and yet it blends so well and adds to the wallpaper.
The painted look is perfectly accomplished... there's truley a fairytale/magical feeling about it.

Wow 0_o, I am not worthy , and shiny are the things that come to mind when i look at this wallpaper. The colours... the texture ... and the fact that you drew the main character show that you are quite an artist.This is an excellent piece of work and I can see why it got featured ^_^.

Cute!! at first, i thought it was Hagu from Honey and Clover!! She looks exactly like that, and the Honey and Clover art is very similar. Great JoB!! xD It's gorgeous, i hope you do more!~

I love everything from the coloring to the font, the elements are in a perfect combination and give the wallpaper an allure of fantasy. Great job on this, keep up the great work! :)
That's one sweet wall and congratulations on the highlight! One glance at the soft-vibrant colors are enough to create this serene sensation, flowing elegantly and peacefully. I think it's lovely! I also thought that it was Hagu from Honey & Clover...I looked at it and definitely thought that, but then I saw it was original art! Wow! She's so beautiful and cute. How amazing. I'm in awe of how you colored this...and the text is so cool, too. I like how the wallpaper gives off a watercolor feel to it. :3 Congrats on the highlight/feature, too!!

I really like the colors you used in this, its so nice and summery. x] Oh and her lips and the flowers are nicely colored aswell. Good job on that. :D One thing I have to say is that some of the lineart is a bit weird in some places. Mostly for the eye. But other than that, really nice job!

Congrats on the highlight. I love the soft coloring but i think certain lines are kinda jaggy (like the outlines on the hands and those blush lines on her cheek). It would've been nicer if it was smoother. ;D Great job on making an OA wallpaper though. I first thought it was Hagu (from Honey and Clover). Ah but since it's a totally original character by you, i think the drawing looks great and you deserve a fav. =3
