This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Recently finshed watching Shakugan No Shana: Second, so I felt like doing a related wallpaper. The scan was found at Moe, and the base bg was actually a screenshot from Guild Wars. The original idea was a tranquil background with Shana sitting in the middle with torches around her... but since that's already been done with Yuji in another wall, I went with the obligatory fire based background ^^.
I know it's a pretty simple wall, but please enjoy nonetheless
I really like this wallpaper, the lighting composition is great. Like the amber color of the burning debris that reflects on the hair, looks excellent.
First of all I absolutely have to compliment you on the background of this wallpaper; the background is very precise with the details (of the fire on the trees, the details of the bushes and the sparks of fire that is dancing around the character) they are all very wonderful and give great effects to the wallpaper.
The exctraction and vectoring of the character is also very precise, almost flawless (it seems that you have given a lot of work into this wallpaper)
I think this wallpaper was really nicely made, it reflects the characteristic of Shana very well, and is one of the wallpapers that I will put on my computer over and over
Keep up the great work!
Wooo cool~~~
Shana looks great with fire~ =x (kinda obvious)

And i like those fire effects around her body

@_@ You typed all of that in this awesome newspaper wallie? That's really quite phenomenal, Tama-san! I see it's about the FMA episode where Roy Mustang & Ed fought each other! It's really cool that you made it as an Central Times news article, very clever! The watch of the State Alchemist looks very authentic as well! I gotta go pick up The Central Times myself and read about Ed and Al's adventures!
This is simply amazing. Two tumbs up :)
You really captured the character with this wall. Shana blends in perfectly with the background and tho very detailed fire effects. Further more the lighting on her clothes ( may i add she looks badd-ass in them) is also nicely done.

Edit: Just made widescreen versions due to popular request. For those of you who already downloaded the 1280x1024 but wanted widescreen, here's a link - http://img215.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shana1wstf4.jpg

The colors and lightning effects blend well together, that, and it's widescreen, so it looks absolutely awesome. Good job ^_^
I will put it on my desktop :)
Keep up the good work
This is the best Shana wallpaper, I've ever seen.
