This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is my final work of this wall, without the help of spudsy2061 this couldn't had been submited, so it's dedicated to him!! And it's for all the kaleido star fans of AP, I hope you like it!
About the wall, I can say that it was my first vectoring work and despite of it so simple, I'm proud of it!!
I get inspiration from the song Scape form the thirth Kaleido star ending, and the style of the composition was inspired in the wall Rules to play (Death Note) of Anbuu, and I wanted to do a nice wall with my nice vector and this nice song and that nice style! XD
In this wall I wanted to express the confusion and stress that sora felt when she lost her dream for a while, she was so depressed and sad! poor sora...! So I did it with her picture in the center, with her confusion around, like sinking in the deep of sea...
So I hope someone like it
Alright where do I start? G friggin' G for starters. This rocks, I never finished Kaleido Star but one day I will, maybe then I'll fully comprehend what you wanted to show. Still I can't find anything to dislike about this wall, it all blends in nicely, the colors are simple yet far from boring or dull. The spheres around add a cool effect, I especially like how the ones near her head and hair look like tears (or that's how I interpret them) while the others look more like bubbles, and you can't really figure out where they change from one to the other.
You get a cookie for the effort, nice high resolution and concept/idea. And I don't give out those to just anyone. Keep doing things like this!
Cool! I love the floating effect..on a cloud? It looks very etheral to me. I like the gradient shades of colors mixed in also. The vector work is great! I wish I could do such nice vectoring, but alas, my skills are horrible and are put to shame by yours! XD I love the text also, its a great font. I dont think I have ever seen it before.
Well as I told in session zero, I love this wallpaper. This is just a great, solid piece of work, and I really commemorate you for working so hard and giving it so many revisions. You're truly a great example to how people should approach making a wallpaper, and I wish I could give you something more than just my +Fav to commend you for the amount of hard work you have put into this wallpaper. You did great, and you should surely be highly proud of yourself. Great work.
