This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
What is this? Another wallpaper from me! And it hasn't even been a month since my last one! You can almost say I am on a roll! Haha!
The story of this wallpaper is simple: I saw this scan I just wanted to make a very simple wallpaper of Sheryl based on the scene where she sang Diamond Crevasse in concert (god, I love that song!). Vectoring this was pretty tough thought, especially the hair: Sheryl's hair is always shaded in this strange soft way, so trying to duplicate it took a lot of work.
Anyway, hope you like this! Comments and favorites are always appreciated!
Absolutely beautiful work I'm completely captivated by her soft flowing hair and soothing expression like you can feel every single note she's playing, excellent vectoring job the resolution is amazing and I think the over all atmosphere is so flowing and lovely I'm gonna put this on my background right away. A+ and a fav
Hey, that's a great wall indeed.) I see it did take you pretty much time and energy to vector the character's hair, but it's worth the results, I think. The only thing I would have done in a slightly other way in this wall (if I were capable of making such walls, I mean)) is making the background a little bit lighter on the right side of the pic, as it seems to me that black color doesn't contrast with the character as perfectly as it could. Though I'm not sure of it; I might be wrong since I'm only starting to learn how to make walls. Anyway, thanks for the wonderful work! Wish you good luck making the next ones
Nice scan and its recreation. The background is far too empty for my taste. The hair is very well done, since I can't even tell where there are the "re-cged" parts and where the original. Maybe it might have been a good idea to add some sort of background - maybe a heavily blurred on-stage concert background or something.
The concept might be simple but the result is beautiful. You've vectored Sheryl perfectly. The background is a bit empty but on the other hand if I were you I really wouldn't know what to do with that. In the end the most important is Sheryl :)
nice vectoring..but the BG is a bit boring and too dark for my taste...try adding some e of those fancy brushes like dangling glows or st like that and play with blending option to get the right effect...it would look much nice or even try a fractal render!!
overall good job on vectoring
Her hair looks wonderfully! It was definitely worth your time ;)
I would mind more sparkled around her but the simple background works and makes the vector stand out.
