This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
A remake of my second addition to the Third ProBoards Graphic Worm, which is image #11. Downloads are currently only at 1280x1024. If you need it smaller, please send me a note.
Not much to say about the inspiration. I've never seen F/SN, but I have fallen in love with the artwork. My favorite so far in terms of appearance has been Saber, and I've collected a lot of renders for her. Like I said, I had done a piece for the ProBoards worm using this render, and I loved the outcome, so I decided to duplicate it.
This piece took me a few hours to do. Well, technically two days, since I started on Saturday, and it's now Monday. But, actual time spent working on this is about two to three hours.

Indeed saber is one of my fav character, and this is one of the best background ive seen her in...... the swords in her hands are intriguing as well, one of them being the real excalibur, the other from an ancient myth =)

Pretty good, although cosmoscape probably isn't the best theme to associate Saber with. Not sure if it's intentional, but at the bottom part there's like blocks of light, probably due to issues when rendering?
I really like the general atmosphere of the wallpaper but I really think space doesn't go with Saber so well. Nevertheless I still like the wallpaper, as it gives off a calm serene kind of feel. I'm not sure why the sword is so short though? Was it intentional?
Thanks for the Good Work.
For 'blocks of light' I'm not sure what you're speaking of.
For the shortness of the sword, that was because of the render. :) The sword was cut off, so I faded it out a bit.
Lol I remember seeing the render(I mean background not saber) in http://www.planetrenders.net/ 1/5 months ago but I was out of ideas that time to make st with it XD
anyway, there are some brush like things in the BG which isnt blended well with BG and are abit distracting and also BG is a lil too blury..other than that saber is blended well with BG and also nice use of text ^^
Lets see your wallpaper is good and is quite nicely done colors are good and the background is smooth as well there's a slight problem in the character it seems it has too portions rather than one at first look it seems the girl is a part of the background but at the same time it looks as if she is standing there becuase her shadow is dropping on the background and thats is distrubing.
Still i give you a B+ for this and good luck for your next submission.

Very well done, the way you surrounded Saber with the aura. Very creative and the blueish colour fits Saber as well... The night sky as the background does go with the anime's persona. Well done, well done!
