After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I would never forget about you!
As you see, the title is Detonation. I wanted to have a title like the one of my birthday present for `k1ru (Kiru ga Suki). So, I tried to find a word relevant to the wall and containing Chris' name.
PROCESS
Here's the scan I used.
I vectored it and redrew the parts that were covered with text.
The bg was inspired from this tutorial which was really helpful throughout the whole process. Then I saw one of his works which I thought fitted the scan and I decided to follow the perspective.
I used a bunch of stock photos of buildings and other material which I am going to enlist sometime tomorrow along with a display of the steps I took.
Firstly, I fixed the stock material into the fitting positions and I then started painting over them in order to create an image of destruction. These steps were mainly what I did. It took me 12 days but I'm sure that if I didn't have a deadline, it would take lots more.
RANDOM
This is something I've never tried before and if I had more time I could probably make it better but I hope you like it either way. I have to say it beat the crup out of me but I'm happy I managed to make something special for a special friend.

Though I do think the character looks slightly out of place, maybe it's due to the shape of her hair and clothes or something, hmm.
The bg work that you did blows me away, but the lighting just ruins it for me. Since the character and the bg have two different lighting sources, they really don't blend well together, which the fact that your bg is painted stock and your character is vectored doesn't help either.

However, the lighting for the character seems to be coming from a strong light source in the upper left, 'outside' of the wall. Logically, it works, but for blend and overall aesthetic, it doesn't work too well. It really isn't something you could have fixed easily, as either you would have to create a new light source in the upper left, but that would mean changing the bg. Or, you could redraw the shadows on the character, but you might as well revector =\

That is a really cool wallpaper. That girl kinda looks like Meg wearing Jo's jacket from the Burst Angel series. But anyway really neat style, keep it up.

what bugs me a little is the lighting. the buildings suggest a strong light source in the distance that the viewers are facing, with some weak reflected light hitting sides of the buildings that are hidden from the light source. however, the character suggest a strong light source somewhere to the left and behind the viewer. the lighting on her also does not show that there is a strong light source behind her. that disagreement, along with her relative simplicity and her wider color range, makes her pop out of the bg a tad much.
that being said, i'm in complete awe of your bg. o__o when i downloaded, that unbelievable amount of detail just blew me away, for lack of a less cliché description. i'm not gonna blabber on in an attempt to describe my amazement because words would fail at communicating it. xD how much patience and effort... i can only stare and marvel at it.
so needless to say, +fav. if i could do one of those whistles that people do when they are impressed, i would. x]
That is a really cool degradation effect you put on the buildings in the background, and your painted clouds are awesome as well. Of course your vector is good, they always are, but something about the hair this time is strange to me O.o. Still doesn't take away from the great detail of the wall, and I think you did a great job as usual ;o
