This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It has been a while since I made a wall...
Anyway, this is another one of my half-made wall which I have been left aside for quite some time in my labtop.
I've been thinking of making a Rurouni Kenshin wall on Kauru for quite some time after I've done on Tomoe's, and in the end...I've come up with something like this...XD
For this wall, I have vectored the butterfly for the bg and use textures and layered of colours like what I did on my previous wall.
I've been spending the afternoon altering the bg again and again as I dunno how to match the colour with the character.
Think I am having waller's block after I've stop walling for so long... lol
Well...hope that this wall is ok.

A nice wallpaper for one of my favorites mangas...
I like how the bg looks like a patterned japanese wallscroll. Also the colors did turn out great... At least, when I am looking at it I don't feel like there is any mismatch... And the char is nicely combigned with the bg... To be honest I 'd prefer it if she was vectored as well and the textures were removed but it is realy nice as it is right now. :)

I absolutely love this wall. Usually RK walls are pretty dark and center on Battousai and such. But this is a nice change from the norm. Thanks!!
You should have vectored the scan too and then just placed parchment texture over so that the quality wouldn't be so bad of the focal point in the wall. I like the butterflies and the colours though but the grainyness of the character scan is just really throwing me off.
Beautiful patterns and textures, I love the butterfly's and I think Kaoru looks amazing and sexy to, the resolution is great and I think it's soft and flowing everything looks perfect. A+ and a fav
Vectoring of the character could make the wallpaper even better. But the used textures are good one, so i't compensated with. And I think the color match is also fair.
In overall this is a good wallpaper, you aren't so rusted as you think :P

I think you did great on this wall, the bg is appropriate for the image, I usually don't like the text on walls, but this one is ok, not completely convinced, but it looks fine.
