I like the groovy bands you are using, I'm not so sure of that heart pattern of the back maybe if it was a lot bigger so it didn't gave the impression of bearly editing.
The main color scheme on the bg by it self is interesting but it does not match at all with the green grass hair of the girl; the purple/blue/violet gradient on the back seems a little out of place.
The white puff and the furniture is way to much, I suggest you to extract the brown hair girl and add it to the white puff =).
and finally I think you should make the characters a lil' bit bigger =)
