As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Before i begin, let me say that this vector was made entirely from black/white manga scans! A lot of work was put into this wall to get the optimum colors!!
Hey AP people, here i am with wallpaper number 6 (technically 7 if you include my colab) and my 4th vector wallpaper. And yet again, it is Tsubasa Chronicle. Sakura FTW! XD
I made this wallpaper from 2 manga scans from the Tsubasa Chronicle manga. I made it entirely from scratch.
Flowers are from THIS scan! :)

I really wish i had a tablet becoz i would love to have loved to have painted this but all i got is a laptop and a mouse so vectoring was the best i could do. =)
Completely colored by myself also and of course it is yet again 100% vector!
Thanks to all people who inspired me to do this, i never thought i would ever successfully make a wallpaper entirely from black/white scans, and i am really happy with myself for finally doing it. =)
Anyway, i have submitted in highest possible widescreen so every widescreen user can take advantage of this wallpaper. =D

Wow! This is a wall of mixed reactions from everyone. O_O
Nice wall, but the clouds are shaded in a rather dull way, but that's just nitpicking. Tho I wouldn't mind some more flowers or smth in the foreground.

It looks so clean and smooth. Especially the details on the clothe, flowers and hair. Good job. You're colour choice for the outline is nice too.
Only thing bothering me is the eye, the black seems too sudden and out of place. I also noticed that the "lightsource" in the eye is light grey instead of white. DOn't know if that was you're intendion, but white would look better imo.
Still, good job :)
Nice Wall, I love how the wind is blowing her hair and how shes turning around that her face is from the side. It must took you a long time eh? well its looks Great! I also like the clouds and the light colors you used to Capture the beauty. Nicely done! ^^

I actually really like the clouds... very dream-like.
You obviously added a lot of shading and highlights that weren't in the original, and that's even more impressive.
Honestly, this is one of the best wallpapers I've seen in a while. I guess what drew me to it was its simplicity and pastel colors, I'm a sucker for those. And vectoring it so well from a manga scan... well, you get extra points for that! I love the colors and frankly you couldn't have picked better ones!

Nice wallpaper but the clouds are a little bad cause they looksl ike they are come from the earth and they go up to the heaven, besindes that a really nice wallpaper and nice vector!

(And looks like you really like Sakura from TRC, no wonder, she is such a cool girl). I like the light colors what you used, it gives a really innocent feeling to her and the flowers are done well too.
The clouds,hmmm. Some people mentioned here that they are not exactly the best.
The question is if you wanted to do a real or a dream cloud. If the last then it's good :P

As a great fan of both Tsubasa Chronicle and Sakura herself, I couldn't let this wallpaper fly by without my comment. First - the vector. It's very nicely done, I'm impressed, since I saw that some people before tried and failed on black-and-white TRC scans. I remember the scan very well, and this fits almost perfectly. The choice of such pastel colors was a relatively good idea - the final effect looks great. I think the eyes would need a little bit more work, since they look a little bit off the character (even too complex, maybe?)
Anyway, great job - keep it up!

Your vector is awesome! And I believe it does compliment the scan a lot. The colors you' ve chosen make a nice contrast between them giving a cool and a wrm effect at the same time... Also your lines are very smooth and clean and you've managed pretty well with the lighting too. This is a great job indeed.
