This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is the first work of the "Wazzup?" series. Kurosake Ichigo is quite a popular character now. Everyone depicts him in battle stances and with zambakto. And even more frequently in the Hollow Mask. I decided to make a modern image. Daily life, chats over the phone. The style of the background is in harmony with the image of the character.
Why is this in session zero, it's made of so much awesome! The only thing I can comment on is the outline around Ichigo seems a bit fuzzy-ish, and I only comment because this is session zero and I feel like a twit not trying to point out at least one possible option. Now that I've done my duty I must say again that this is made of so much awesome!
Hey i thought i've comment on this wall earlier...
anyway,
i think you should not make stroke lines using purple color, it makes the ichigo's outline looks fuzzy. it's better if you do stroking using white color and make it thick also, like, 20px or something.
ichigo's shadow, it's blur... try to vector it. or if you're using the drop shadow option, try to setting it again so he could have the sharp shadow behind him. i was hoping to see that earlier.
all in all, the bg is cool! love it. the color matches ichigo, it's a good work. ^^
hope to see this wall in the gallery soon!
I upgraded this work a little bit. The piece of advice concerning the white lines pleased me. This means that there are still people on this forum, who understand something in design. Thank you))
The background is good and the text suits it.
Even so, you must work hard on the extraction and the outline. The image isn't extracted well. I can see some orange line on his hair and some brown line on his hand. The outline is jagged because of the extraction. Some outline have space between him.
keep up the good work! I know you can do more than that^^
This is such a great wall!! The colors are happy and that is quite a nice change from all the other more serious walls of ichigo..
Um.. Can't see why they would reject it? (but just so you know I feel your pain, none of my walls so far has been good-enough)
This is fantastic, I love it!
Really, a very cool concept. Color scheme is great, as well as overall layout.
Only negatives, and more than likely the reason for rejection is the jagged outline surrounding Ichigo. This can be caused by either poor image extraction (in my opinion this appears to be the case)
Perhaps try re-extracting the image using the polygonal lasso tool, as opposed to the magnetic lasso, or god forbid the magic wand. :)
Anyways, it's just my opinion, but I'm pulling for you, and hope you can work out the kinks...cause i'd love to see the wall in the gallery soon!
good luck!
