This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Ugh...I spent too much time on this to be worth anything. .__. I've been sitting at this computer for hours!! So now I don't even know if it looks any good. I'm betting it doesn't. I know from the preview it looks WAY too busy, and I'm sorry about that. It very well might be too busy...but I wanted to have the whole cast of characters~ I used two separate scans: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Phoenix-Wright-Ace-Attorney/item185058/http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Phoenix-Wright-Ace-Attorney/item185084/ [both scans thanks to nat]
I split the second one in half and moved them apart to have half of the group on Klavier's side (left) and the other half on Kristoph's side. In the end, I kind of like it...but again, I think it might be too crowded. :( It's a total attorney gang war! Hah, that's what it reminds me of...like one posse versus the other. XD I wanted to separate them on colors, too...red on one side and green-ish on the other.
So this wallpaper is a lot more texture work and brushwork. I extracted the scans first, and then I had to clean them up...but the most work was the main one in front! The brothers' arms were both, um, cut off in the scan...and that caused problems...after trying to cover them up, I finally ended up redrawing their arms/hands. Now, you can't really tell that, can you?? And why is that?? Because I ended up covering them up anyway...with the girls. -__- After I worked at least an hour of drawing their missing body parts, I didn't like them at all! Boo! Now it just looks strange. Sorry. Umm...not much else to say since that was my biggest annoyance. Several layers of texture and brushwork, like I said. And then the text. I think that might be my favorite part...
Well, this took roughly 5 hours? Enjoy! I can't believe I made another wallpaper so "soon." I hope that you like it~ (sorry I was too lazy to make the 1280x1024 resolution again) Comments/faves are greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I submitted this to a contest on theOtaku.com, and I won. See the proof Here. ♥ Take that, biatch! Objection!
Your right,it is a bit busy but overall I like it.The colors you chose and the characters were all put together very well. The only thing I can see a problem with is where the girl is on the right side of it.But I guess there was really no other way to get her in there without blocking her head lol.Nice job.^^
Wow, a nice number of characters. I like the used yellow color and the texture too, and glad that you walled from a unpopular category again. Down with the mainstream :P

I like the texturing and the colors! I also like the idea of having so many characters on opposite sides. I think it's kind of odd that 2 of the characters appear again at the back (I'm assuming they are the same characters) and are mostly blocked out. I would prefer if the 2 blondies didn't have girls fading into their elbows because I think all 3 should be standing out since they are big and rather bold. But of course, they didn't have elbows before and you didn't really keep your redrawn arms, hehe, so it was a good way to cover them. It's just that the girls look kind of ghostly. Maybe if the blondies were also light like the BG characters and only the little guy stood out... but they're too hot not to be focused on right? Hehe.

i love the texture...
but it would be more wonderful if you placed the girls *both left and right* behind the guys' elbows.
I like the scan you used, but I don't know about yellow being the dominant colour in the wall.
