This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
My first wallpaper for AnimePaper ...I have over 40 layers and I used different scans and textures and tutorials to get the beach scene...the lighthouse is actually from a pic I took...as well as the islands! I made everything from scratch..
I had to vector the top of Karen's head in...since it was cut off from the scan...My first shot at vectoring...
I wish I knew how to get the horizon to look more real as it just ends...I will take any constructive criticism
Can i have all this mermaids to me... please, they all are so georgeous.. Kawaii this wall is great, have all the colors that you can imagine, but also has nice characters and the background dont disturb the icons in the pc

Hmm... the sand, need to be less detail... but i guess it's ok.
and i can see you vectored karen's temple, clearly there are jag lines. try to vector it again so that it fits with the colors and and shadings, and the curves. here's a tutorial that might be useful for you to master basics of vectoring.
It's a good try for your first wallpaper ^.^ But for the horizon, you might add more mountains, then use the blur too at the place where the mountains meet the sea. Also, the beach looks like watercolor, while the whole scan is sharp and clean. You might try to vector a beach too ^_^ Same goes with the water~
On the plus side, I like the light house ^.^ Your extraction was done well too. Good luck ;)
I sorta don't like this anime but I'll comment.
It looks like something's wrong on Rina's scan because I see strange lines and I also see some white stuff. But the others are okay.
