Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
My first wall! Extracted Naruto from a scanned manga page... tried to keep it nice and simple, love using reds and blacks. Great pose to use, would like to use it in a series of walls.

First thing, we know that the series is called Naruto, so no need for that big text. Also the guy is Pein and it can be confusing in this way.
Also the red-black background doesn't match up with the black-white scan and the whole backgrouns is a way too simple.
Extraction needs be better as well. Is jaggy and on some parts is cuted down too much.
And outstanding white parts fix with Inner Shadow. Also can suggest to color the character or trying a black-white artistic background to match up the scan.
Too basic, and plain. It seems that you didn't know what to add in the background so you used some big text to try to make the background go with the image. I like the idea but need to get rid of text of "NARUTO" and make a better background. You can still add text but not that big that it is the whole background.
I know whatever you decide will be best, but here's an idea that you can toy around with: to catch anyone's attention, it needs to stand out, so why not keep the red theme, change the word "Naruto" to "Pein", make the background look like it has deep crimson blood running down it, and name it "Feel the Pein"! Just and idea to give you and inspiration... sorry if that's not what you were looking for, but I see great potential in this wall, so please keep working with it, because I really want to know what you've come up with in the end. P.S- Try to make Pein stand out more, he is the main focus, after all. Kudos to you for your work so far!!
Since the bg is too simple, vector the character would show some effort though. you may want to change Pein's colour to match with your bg ( btw, i'd suggest you design another bg)
