While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I LOVE this series!

Entry made for the Summer 2008 Pool Party event. The theme was Summer Solstice, and my task was to wall in monochrome (sky blue).

The wall is based on the scene when Yuki first changed into a vampire and glimpsed sunlight (and as a vampire, it hurt +_+).

I like the simplicity of this paper and teh way that everything blurs/fades away into the background. The colours are pleasing. The ghost like effect and the colours used give this paper an elegent / gentle feel, hence the name of the title.

Nice concept and design, also very nice work on the colours. But is that Yuuki? xD When i first saw the thumbnail I was like: wth, what is that? After seeing the categry I realized that the white stripes belong to Yuuki's hair haha, interesting idea btw. O:

Looks like the hair is the main part of your wallpaper. The one-colored monochrome style and the added text makes a interesting artistic piece from it.

It'd be nice if you'd link your reference image, because I'm not making heads or tails of it either. It's hair, and a window frame. I've also made an assumption about an ear. :D

Well, I really didn't know who (or what) is on the wallpaper, but after reading description I could see Yuuki ^^. The wall itself is really interesting and unique, everything seem so luminous and ethereal. Gentleness, I think it's a good word :)
