Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Hello!
That's a new wall.
I made the vector in... 3 weeks! (2-4 hours by day). It was very long and hard.
I like this picture and this character, so I decided to make it in wallpaper.
I want to make a good wall, so please, give me your opinion and suggestion into improving it! Thanks
Wow its great!
my only suggestion here is to reduce the yellow dots, cause i think there are too much of them (in front of Yuuko)
Great vector! cant wait to see it on the gallery!
I like the colors, a lot. But I think yuko isn't getting the attention she deserves. Either you could move the curtains behind her so it makes it look like she's looking out a window. Or maybe make the background a little lighter so yuko's color is the brightest. Either way you did a great job on the vector quality. I can't wait to see the end result. ^.^
I personally think that you could improve this wallpaper by removing the curtains; or at least change the colours into something other than brown (or anything bright). It's kind of distracting from the original image, and it doesn't fit very well because this image has a high perspective, whereas curtains tend to 'frame' or center something.
Also, I think you could try adding more tones into the colours (for example, you might use a cloudy filter on photoshop to make the background sky look less 'flat'). This can apply to the tree, the flowers, and even Yuuko, too, if you can find the right textures. Be careful of gradients, though, as it can make something you've coloured look 'rushed.'
If you want to add more into the wallpaper you could try putting the logo in, or a few brushes. Just be careful not to go overboard, no matter how fun it is.
Just as Vixie said, you can work more on the bgbut instead of usingcloudy filter I suggest that you vector some cloud, this wall itself is reli good, maybe except for that moon, see the outline of it,kinda jagged,I suppose that's why this wall got refused.
Good luck!Reli wanna see this wall approved!
