This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It's 11:32 pm here and I finally finished my newest wall.
And it's another game wallpaper.
This time it's featuring: PATAPON
For the ones who don't know about this game:
It's a rhythm game in which you need to press the four button in a special beat.
I never thought about making a wall about this game although I really like the design done by Rolito. It was a nice coincidence that `Deto15 and I were talking about my LocoRoco wall and why not making one for Patapon too.
OK, I thought let's do it ^^
You can see the result here and trust me it was hard making that wall.
The little Patapons (left site) and Zigotons (right site) were driving me crazy and the drums in the middle did the rest. I'm relieved that the work is over and I really like the outcome.
Big thanks to `Deto15 for talking the idea for this wall right into my head.

The title is German and means: "Drum Roll! - Attack!" cause the Patapons only attack if you give the right beat: PON PON PATA PON

I never expected to see a Patapon wallpaper! It's definitely a welcome surprise. ^_^
I think it was a nice move to vector the image, as it keeps with the smooth, flash-video like feel that the game has. Very nice!

I am also glad that you changed the dark background into a blue cheerful one. Too bad you do not have the wide screen version... Maybe I have to cut some of the upper half :p I really want to make it as my desktop. Anyway, but of course this is going to be my favorite.

Haha, I've played Patapon too! And you have done a very good job in making the background into a day scene based from the scan that you have shown. My only comment for improvement is that.. I don't know if it was because my PC had a slow download so I couldn't check if it's true or not, but I think the wallpaper is missing crispness of the vector. The bodies of the Patapons and the drums were nicely made (I salute to you!) but as I tried to keep my eyes peeled on the clubs of the Dekopons, they looked kind of blurred, even at the maximum resolution.
Aside from that, it's so rare to see a Patapon wallpaper after visiting this site after a long time, so... I love it. :3 Great job!
This is one cute wall! The sharp crisp vectorwork really accents the pop-out kinda touch you give this piece and the vibrant colors really bring to life the scan you used. I have no idea what those creatures are at all but they're still pleasant/fun to look at. Nice work
Very stylish but also a bit crazy wallpaper style (I mean in good way of course), and is done more as well. Never saw the game, but looks like is pretty popular.

I love the statue characters as the focus of the entire piece :3 The colours are so yummy, and I think the matching colour text/sounds with the statues is ingenious x ) Mmmm, the shapes and colours have stolen my heart < 3 My heart beats with the CHAKA PATA PON x333 ~
Hehe : > and all the excess characters on the side and surrounding the statues are awesome ~ reds vs the whites x D I wish I played the game, so I could comment more on the significance of the characters :3 but even without, I can still somewhat appreciate the intrigue of them x ) I like the larger faded monsters in the background as well; you can kind of tell by the thumbnail, but with the full view of the wall - that crab is so hardcore x DDD
The bubbly trees and the wisps of clouds in the back background look really good, too :3 and AH : D the birdies are ADORABLE x333 *me eats them* RAWR CHOMP x ]

I saw this wallpaper a few hours ago and I was like "WOW this is awesome" finally I got the chance to comment. Well this is completely unique and did I mention CUTE it's amazing all those little characters are so sweet and very captivating and capture your attention drawing you in, and the best part is how can this wall not bring a smile to your face it's absolutely kawaii and I'm just in love with it ^o^ great work A+ and a fav
