This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Made in January 2007 (FTW I'm getting old =_=). I was digging around my old stuff and came across this one ~ and fell in love with the gore all over again *w*.
I really should finish watching this series.

birds look really nice, and they're not ruining the whole composition as in many other birdy wallpapers :x

Amazing vector,I am positive you vectored the scan of Kamui,CLAMP's arts are always hard to vector,yet you did such an awesome job!I love the geers,they suit the theme of X1999 and your wall very much!And the blood stains also pretty,but I suggest that the blood should be darker,and remove some stains on his face.

I was thinking of writing more on the HL description but i thought the stuff i would have typed would be me rambling on about my personal preferences xD so i'll just mention them here :'D
I personally don't like black and white walls but this is one of the few that made me break that habit :'D and did i mention i love looking at the eye in this wall ><! the grafting on the skin is good too =D and a bit of morbidity is always good lol well to some people *coughs*

I really like the fonts used and the X cut into the characters back. The blood really does match the theme of the show. The gears for background just somehow fits in perfectly, although I can't describe how it fits in so well, I just keep getting a good fit feel! Very well done... clean and simply clear in the theme.

I love this wall ever since I saw it on your site and it was on my desktop for a long time, enough to scare my siblings. XD It's a powerful wallpaper and the touch of red blood is just great on a black and white wallpaper. Excellent job! P.S. Kamui is so hawt...
