This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Hello. This is one of my fav Kenshin pics and I wanted to combine cherry blossoms with my lovely Kenshin. So I did. It took a few days to get it right but I didn't want the blossoms to over power Kenshin. I used a filter effect on Kenshin and the Cherry Blossoms so that they both could have a painted look to them so the quality might look bad but it is just the filter.
I appreciate any help with this paper. I want it to be gorgeous because it's looking good so far. ^_^
Um, not sure if there is a way i can say things without sounding harsh, but i'm just gonna go ahead and be honest with you. ^^;
first off, that image of kenshin is of unacceptable quality. maybe you tried to get it to fit your bg, but the not-so-smooth coloring, rough outlines, and the dirtiness don't really work. if you did, best to undo that. there is a difference between what you have and the actual painted look. if you did not deliberately make the scan look this way, then well, that image isn't usable in that state. (read: you'll either have to find a higher quality image or vector this.)
the extraction of the image is also poorly done. not only are there straight edges on the curved hair but also a lot of white leftovers. i also noticed that there is an evident cut-off in his hair -- not something you want to be seen. best to draw in what's missing.
the text also appears to be one brush repeated over and over again. the repetition is not necessary and it is not visually appealing. and when it comes to the main image of the bg, the cherry blossoms and branches, all i can say is that it looks like one heavily filtered image. :/ AP asks for a lot of original effort and creativity and the filtering doesn't communicate enough of that. it also makes the bg look low quality because of the spottiness it gives.
the overall image quality is pretty much the biggest issue with this piece. so take this one back to the drawing board and put some more thought and effort into it to make it better. work hard and ganbatte. xD
Oro! First off I absolutely love the painting concept. Kenshin makes enough of a presence on the wall not to be overpowered while at the same time fits with the blossoms. The text is a nice touch, but it repeating like that seems kind of rushed. Other than the text I say grade A wall.
The history of Kenshin Himura starts about 15 years before it if becoming andarilho, at the time it at least possuía this name. One jovenzinho mirrado and weak, that was travelling with a caravan of merchants of slaves was found and except Seijuuirou Hiko that, seeing an immense potential in the young, taught to it to its technique, the style Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, that summarized it lethal extremely fast double blows e. E thus was born the Hitokiri Battousai, the Retalhador Assassin, who became legend and was the main assassin of its time, thanks to the training, despite incomplete, given for Hiko. Kenshin was one of the assassins more gifts and requested in the end of the Shogunato Tokugawa, which had its dexterity with the sword. Way for the arrival of " fought to the side of the imperialistas, opening; It was Meiji" e soon after this fact, it if became a vagabond.
Thank you everyone for your insight. I've taken some of your suggestions and put them to work on this paper. I'm not sure how long it will take to update, but I will upload it soon.
