Where to start! This time, I didn't find any good scan from the serie "Aishiteruze Baby" so I've decided to take a screenshot from episode 23 and vectorize Kippei and Kokoro (with Illustrator). Since the screencap was low quality, I improved some details like the lips point or the eyes. Once I was done with my characters, I just had to think yet again of a background.

At first, I started doing some abstract bubbly pink things all shoujo... but it turned out pretty cheap compared to what I can actually do. Me decided to do my best and draw a romantic yet cold night scenery.

EVERYTHING is hand-drawn in Photoshop (tablet) with only a reference for the bench and the moon. The bushes were made from several brushes and filters. The red moon is done on purpose to warm up the whole atmosphere. Raw file is 160mo with 61 layers. 1 week of work.

I think it's the most detailed wallpaper I have done so far. Oh, and the title in French "Baiser de Minuit" means "Midnight Kiss". Enjoy.

Awwww...this is so sweet. Very nice job on vectorizing the screen cap and doing the background and additional layers. I personally don't think you should have blurred the lettering so much, but it still doesn't take away from the overall effect of this wall. Other than that, this is great! +Fav!

I am speechless... it is soo ... great... wait.. is there a greater word than great? It is pure greatness lol ... I know what I am saying since I have done my Christmas Kiss wallpaper in Illustrator as well and rendered the background in some 3D application. But the background you have done here is much more convincing than the one I have in my wallpaper. I love the bench and I love the moon and the nice yet cold night. It really fits perfectly to the foreground. I love the contrast between the fore- and the background.

One more thing: the detail of the characters is soo impressive. I first thought that you got a scan from somewhere (iuno where >_>) but after I read your description I was really amazed by the result. I have been never tricked before (i mean consearning the fact of wether it is a scan or a vector trace) - but this one made me definitly think twice about it.

Overall: a must fav! It really is great! *can't find more words* Really great job! Hope to see more :)

This is a great wallpaper. The background works so great. It is a very romantic sence. It also has great ideas. I like how the moon look likes (red) and the stars. Romantic and great wallpaper.

You made this wallpaper quite some time before you posted it here, right? I've seen it and your site some time ago. I loved it from the very first moment I saw it. All the Aishiteruze wallpapers that I have seen, were simply terrible, that is until I ran into this one. It is absolutely beautiful. Love the CG and the wonderful background that you've added. It really sets the atmosphere. The scene you created is really touching and romantic. Are you by any chance planning on doing more Aishiteruze Baby wallpapers? That would be awsome. We need more walls like this for that anime and manga. Thanks so much for making this.
