Been trying to make a nice wall for my bf for a while, and he hasnt been happy with a single one yet.. so im hoping this will do the trick.

The title, "Clone you Lover" was inspired by a zeromancer song of the same title, i was listening to the cd when i made this. At first this was juat a pretty generic, ecchi wallpaper, i was going to write something like "passion" or something similar in cursive letters, but then i started listening to the song lyrics and looking at the scan more closely, a girl, naked, but looking so innocent almost as if shes newborn.. like if she was a clone and just recently "born".

kinda got me thinking about what people will do to stop their grief. There are movies about people getting willingly brainwashed to erase painful memories, gouging off body parts (ears, eyes etc) to try to make up for their mistakes to their lovers. in Evangelion ayaname was a clone of shinjis dead mother, his father was willing to clone her to bring her back to him. So, its not that much of a strech i think... i started to think.. what if there was a company that did that? Bring in some hair from your dead lover, theyll make you a new one.

The line of the song "I dont care what you say, as long as you say it" really stood out to this idea. A false reality, but you can easily erase the memories of her death if you are torn enough by grief...

So i tried to make that contrast between classic beauty, and technology, streamlined and futuristic, almost like an ad for a company. "In the darkness of despair theres a light of hope, you can see her again! You can be in his arms again! www.clone-your-love.com for details!" or something like that.
