EDIT2: Here`s a link to an edited version of this, I`m having a hard time changing the background becuase I`ve already sized it down, and I don`t want her back and away, its more about her then the sky, SHe`s closer to you. I have the change in text to make the title stand out.

This is my first wallpaper (yay)
I think I probably have minimal understanding of Photoshop CS3 but I'm learning and getting the hang of it.
This is a Pia Carrot wallpaper, I'm not familiar with Pia Carrot, I just came across a scan here on AP and I liked it.
The Background image was supplied by a Photographer in my area.
Please, I would appreciate thoughts and tips of how I can improve my wall making skills along with Photoshop Skills.
Please point out any mistakes.

Well, i think the sky is too close..i think if you work a bit with the background would be better ;) and i advise you to change the scan place or let me say change its size, 'cause its size now doesn't suit the scene =/

And I'm irritated that the messages on the wall is quite unbalanced. One small and one medium.
And what is that strange plant(brush) doing there? try changing the colors because it looks like a rice plant to me.

Yeah, Just mins after I posted this I edited out the plant, I think I just wanted to fill in space, but it just seems distracting.
I enlarged the right text because it is the title of this piece, I've seen this done...Many, many times.
I used a sketched scan so there was diagonal shading throughout the image, I'll post a link to the scan after I post this message.

Also, the composition is a bit off; the character looks a bit too big for the photo - it looks like the sky is going to crash on her anytime. Try to make the character smaller and place it a little bit to the back so it may look like she's standing in the middle of the field. The flowery custom shape is also a bit unnecessary; I think the font alone would be enough, just make sure the size of it is even.
Other than that, I really like the atmosphere of the wall and the colors blend pretty nicely. Good luck with your wall and I hope I'll see it in the wall section soon! :)
