I'm sitting at work... Bored... Staring at emails complaining about things lol... Its boring... I'm trying to balance a spoon on my nose while sitting at my desk...Not working too well :P
Oh my goodness. I mean. Just look at the thumbnail. Just that should already give you an idea of how awesome this wallpaper is.
Stock photos have always been used, abused and whatnot. But still to obtain a scene like this you need more than simple plain skill with Photoshop. You need artistic taste. And that's what w00tazn got and this wallpaper proves it. Moody atmosphere, wonderful sunset and a black silhouette that blends perfectly with it.
I was browsing through a bunch of my stockphotos and i found one that really appealed to me. You never really see that many sillioute walls where the majority of the lighting is behind the character so i wanted to convey that with this sunset.
I was browsing through my scans and this one seemed to fit the best. The majority of my latest walls feature art from Ugetsu mainly because I'm too lazy to look for more scans and that I love his artwork way too much.
I hope this doesn't start up some new trend of crazy landscape walls, but adding a bloom effect to the wall makes it look SOOO much better. Just giving the illusion of HDR is something that wallers should strive for now in their realistic efforts.
Like I said in the IRC channel: This wall jukes me out of my socks. :) The concept is a good one, as I haven't seen many (or perhaps none) walls that make such an "afterglow" effect, hiding the focus in the shadows for the viewer to ponder about. A good choice on using the sky as the landscape; it really matches the theme. /fav

This one is great, the design is very original, the bg is simply mindblowing, A sunset type of background really fits well with the shadowry figures, I love the composition and the color tone is just right. You obviously kept icon storage in mind and I'm going to use it on my wallpaper, it's simply a great piece of wallpaper.
Waii! Its cute! It gives off the vibes that it has a lot of "deep meaning" and require insight to get it XD. Kinda like..the last few eps of Rahxephon, where I had to read through 6 pages of forum posts to understand it. But, anyways, its a fave!

There really isn't much more to be said that hasn't already been said. In short, it's a beautiful wall. You could say that not much was done to the stock but it really does take a unique sense of... taste to get something looking that good. Most people would've done too much too it and perhaps made it look too gaudy, this however was the small touches really made it stand out.
This wallpaper is one of the BEST things I have ever seen in terms of graphic desing, it combines simplicity with AMAZING. Something very hard to do. Great job
